WAS. Until contracts and some discrepancies ruined it. I may not agree or condone with what Dave did with his credentials, but he still is capable of teaching useful skills. He is truly an expert, and everyone deserves second chances. I'm right there with you. This WAS the best show on TV.

I think the biggest error the producers of this show, with Cody and Dave, made was digging around and then getting rid of Dave. So, he embellished his application, big deal. I miss this show and would like to see new scenarios with them in it.

Totally agree with you. Dave and Cody were great. After the first few episodes together, you could honestly see the change in Dave’s opinion of Cody and the respect he has for him was so evident.

Cody sued the Discovery Channel, so their "relationship" is pretty much over with. Discovery screwed Dave Canterbury so their relationship is not happening either. I know Cody and Dave had "issues", but they had a respect. The second host, Joe Teti, or Dave's replacement, did not get along with Cody towards the end at all. They clashed a lot which I think led to Cody's lawsuits against the Discovery Channel. All of them were "alpha males", in charge personalities, but while Dave and Cody could usually come to an agreement, Joe and Cody seemed to never seem to be on the same page as the show went on. I used to watch this show whenever I'd notice it was on. Heck I even used to DVR it whenever it was on and binge watch 5-10 episodes later. That is until Cody and Joe left. Then I stopped watching. I tried a few times or episodes, but the show wasn't anywhere near as entertaining or interesting.

They tried to make it seem like Cody was the perpetrator, but it was actually Joe who caused most of the problems because he refused to compromise. I can recall maybe one time that Joe compromised with Cody and they were able to reach an agreement.

Not entirely disagreeing with you, but he does regularly say that he doesn’t recommend entering these dangerous situations dressed like he does. It’s more of a personal challenge it seems. If he can survive the worst scenarios in the worst outfits then he’d thrive dressed appropriately. Where I fully agree is that his choice also affects the well being of Dave, who has to sometimes carry some of Cody’s weight.

If he lives in Northern Arizona, like say Flagstaff, then it gets cold there in the winter since it's at 8000 ft elevation. Summer temps there stay in 70s and 80s, no desert heat there.
