One of the highlights of these programmes, is the camaraderie and respect that all of the competitors show each other. I've never seen anything from the series when any of the competitors were anything other than really nice people, which says a lot about the current community. To see it mean so much to her to win, and for her competitor to compliment her like that was amazing.

I'd love to see what those 2 can create together. His words that he'd work with her and teach her everything that he knows are amazing. Finding a gifted apprentice to pass on your knowledge in todays world can be a challenge and finding a real mentor can be even more challenging.

Honestly, that is one of the heartwarming things about the show. The fact that they are willing to learn from each other in order to accomplish great things. You can feel the respect from everyone in that room. Good on her!

Love this show My dad was a runner back in prohibition days. He never shared anything about making moonshine. Lost him in 1990 Miss you dad.

He probably didn't know too much if he was just a runner all he had to do was pick up the product and get it to the buyers without getting caught.

Is anyone else a little concerned that using copper electrodes could cause that pecan brandy to have toxic levels of copper ions? Not that I’m really convinced it was doing anything because there was no visible hydrolysis happening.

What does electrolysis actually achieve here? I don't want to talk down Swamp Wizard here, but I didn't see any residue in the jar or on the electrodes. Maybe up the proof? Maybe impact the tannins from the nuts?

I am not sure but I thought drinking electrolized fluids could be dangerous. At least with the stuff I've seen, the electrodes always errode away into your fluid, and I'm not sure what chemical reactions happen.
