I can honestly say that the weakness of Dawkins God delusion arguments turned me away from materialism. Dawkins arguments in that book were so bad I had to think, "Christ, if that is the best we materialist can do, maybe I am on the wrong side here." Everywhere I looked the same intellectual ineptitude from darwinists started showing through... I was ferverently warned against looking into ID. I read SITC and finally found, solid, reasoned, scientific arguments. I had to change my view. The lost sheep finally heard the voice of his shepherd calling in the darkness and by stumbling through all the obstacles followed it home. Praise to you LORD Jesus Christ.

I'm a lay person but from what I have read "The Measurement Problem" (collapse of the wave function needs an observer) in physics and the hard problem of consciousness (that matter of any amount somehow secretes it) are just as much of a problem for the current prevailing worldview as the 3 mentioned here. I think very few people decide whether to believe in God (or anything else, for that matter) based on intellectual arguments. The initial decision is an emotional one. Arguments like Meyer's are important, but secondary. The best argument Christians can make is to live as Christ commanded, love our neighbors, and feed His lambs.

Today i have heard about the end of Title 42 tonight. I am in such spiritual, emotional pain and tears are filling my eyes today. These problems never had to happen. But Protestant Christian leadership has failed for years now, to teach the whole Word of God. 33+ years ago, they hassled me for going into depth in the Scriptures. Today i understand our loss. Since ID is not a science, but a pseudoscience without real discoveries whose aim is to deny evolution, so it will have no effect on modern medicine. It will have at most a negative effect by making people reject science.

@@anandjim4264 Anand, although I'm not an expert in pain, I'm a psychologist. One of the factors included in your "etc." has to do with the patient's beliefs about pain. As you know, beliefs can significantly affect the influence of pain on the patient's functional limitations. Holistic approaches to pain management incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy to maximize success. Rationality provides a foundation for CBT, and rationality is incompatible with a purely materialistic, chance-driven universe. See Thomas Nagel's book "Mind and Cosmos," for instance. I know this perspective is swimming against the tide...but ultimately it possesses the better arguments (as Stephen Meyer, for one, has repeatedly shown).

On 27:50 If a morse code was captured from space and could be arranged into a complex structure people would immediately proclaim intellegent life exists and had created it. We find far more complex code in our DNA and people shrug, claiming it must have assembled itself.

Doesn't it say in the old testament all nations that forget God shall be turned into hell.. the enemy running wild his time grows shorter with each passing second and he is very aware of it I'd say..
