The Volvo 950 Excavator is definitely going to help Tony out for that season. Tony says he bought it to help move more dirt 😉😉. But we all know why he bought the 950 instead of the 750. It was so he could one up Parker who bought a Volvo 750 Excavator a season earlier if I'm not mistaken. Cause let's be honest Tony and Parker have been trying to one up each other since day one. 😂😂.

@@ghammy1201 did you also forget the tiger torches? And I'm from southern Alberta, discovery also speaks in celsius. So -30 with no major wind chill with sunlight and indirect heating from the torches, yeah it's believable. I worked all last winter on a new food facility, I was a painter, I had to sand and prep surfaces when the temps were too cold for paint, and I couldn't hold sand paper to save my life with the gloves I was 'allowed' to wear by OSHA and the facilities own standards. So yes I spent minimum 8 hours a day hand sanding in -30 and it's doable. If you have callus enough hands from working HARD labour all your life like them, it doesn't phase them.

@AshtrayAnnie
@AshtrayAnnie 3 жыл бұрын
It shouldn't be surprising. Look at the title of the video alone. Nothing was built here. It was assembled. This is SUPER common in construction on a daily basis, moving big equipment from site to site. Discovery is made up of children that don't understand very much these days. And a 950 is generally a 20ton machine. So I'm guessing it can lift at absolute Max just over 50k lbs consistently.
@copley345

@@copley345 lol you should go recheck that. Its 100% what we call a 20ton machine in the industry. I'm talking about actual capabilities and what this machine is generally called. Not talking the buckets as those are easily interchangeable. This is not a 10ton machine. I've seen these easily fill a 60ton truck in 3-4 scoops (depending on the operators obviously).
@copley345
@copley345 3 жыл бұрын
@@AshtrayAnnie not sure what industry you work in but in mining or construction, excavators are called out by operating weight. I.e. this is a 90 tonne machine. Just like a CAT336 is called a 36 tonne excavator, hence the model number. I'm well aware that buckets are interchangeable. In the industry we also don't call them "scoops"...
@AshtrayAnnie

@@copley345 In construction it's refered to as a 20ton machine. Due to its actual capabilities. Much the same way the products are marketed. This machine can move roughly 20tons at max. It's a 20ton machine.
