Interracial marriage is not easy. You needed to adjust with each others culture, traditions and most importantly to deal with the discrimination that comes with it.
My husband and I leave Moscow with a smile on our faces and ready for a new challenge...
We are now at the train station, waiting for the train to take us back to Krasnodar. We are looking forward to the night so we can get a good night's sleep after an exhausting day.
Our morning on the train started out great. We got to talk to the guy who's staying on the bottom bunk under me. His name is Maxim He sings, writes music, and is on his way to Voronezh to be the lead singer in a new band. Soon it will be his station, and our paths will part. We wished him good luck, ate breakfast together, and went back to our beds.
The day was quiet. My husband and I ate bananas, I listened to my favorite podcast on my headphones, and fiddled with a lamp. We were a little bored, so we decided to take a nap.
We woke up to the noise of two women in the bunks below us. It turned out that they were drunk and continued to drink on the train.
Boria calmly asked them to stop drinking and not to disturb the people next to them.
Instead of complying with his simple request, they started mocking him and me.
I don’t speak Russian and fortunately doesn't understand what they say to me.
Boria stepped away for a while and when he came back he saw these women trying to explain to me through the translator on the phone. I definitely looked upset. They succeeded to offend me with their words.
The situation was escalating by the minute.
The insolence and rudeness of these people had long since crossed all boundaries. My husband said he would have gladly thrown them off the train with his own hands, but Boria and I don't want any more trouble. We need to get out of this situation the legal way.
He decided to tell me what they were saying because I didn't understand what was going on.
He said that he didn't expect me to swear back at them. I even tried to attack one of the women because of anger. Even though this woman was three times my size. Boria never seen me get so angry, he told that I am like a little soft kitten. I don’t even raise my voice to people older than me because I consider it disrespectful.
My husband felt sorry for me when I started crying. I was in a lot of pain and I didn’t understand why I deserved such humiliation and insult.
We called train security to deal with the situation.
The train manager came over and told us that the women would be forced to get off at the next station.
I looked them over and couldn't hide my smile. I was happy that we had gotten justice and that the people who had wronged us had gotten what they deserved.
It was half an hour before the train stopped and the women were back again.
We didn't know what else to expect from them, so Boria kept filming just in case.
At the station, the police came into the train. They took statements from us and the people who had witnessed the incident.
I told that I saw one of the women had tried to bribe train security not to call the police. That didn't work.
They were escorted off the train, and we breathed a sigh of relief. They would probably be taken to the police station and spend the night there.
Finally my husband and I could sit quietly and eat our dinner.
A man and a woman who are resting in adjoining beds treated us to chocolate and tangerines. The conductor and train security apologized for the inconvenience and told us that we could sleep in the lower bunks if we wanted. Those beds were now vacant. We said thank you to the train workers, police officers, and all the kind people who helped us.
Our carriage was once again filled with pleasant silence and tranquility.
The next morning our train arrived in Krasnodar. We got off the train and went to the bus stop.
It was cold outside, despite the fact that it was the second half of March.
We bought coffee so we wouldn't freeze waiting for the bus.
We are so glad to be home. We miss our mom, our bed, and our home-cooked meals. And we especially can't wait to book our plane tickets to the Philippines, pack our bags, and get out of this country as soon as possible.
In the next episode, we will spend our remaining days in Russia and prepare to move to the Philippines

Hmmm…the women were drunk but it seemed like they were looking after your best interest. It sounded very offensive to you being married to your man but it would not be uncommon for Europeans ,or other caucasians for that matter, to abuse asian women or other women outside their race. I am sad that this happened to you as it transpired on the video. My take watching it was they were only concerned about your well-being and yes…they were drunk.

As someone also married to a south East Asian wife I understand how distressing and horrible this must of been. Unfortunately discrimination is common, but remember these are narrow minded and foolish people who evidently have nothing better to do.

Girl they are not descriminating you and no one does it to you, in this video. In fact, its you who are insulting them by calling them bitch while they are just trying to have conversation with you because they are concern of you. They might be drunk and noisy but they are harmless. They might be loud but they are not creating trouble, its your husband who are creating trouble for aiming that camera to them without permission and its you who are escalating it by calling them names that they probably dont deserve. Practice respect when you are here in Russia, people here are kind and warm hearted. They might be not smiley people but they are friendly. Specially, dont be easily angry when you dont really understand the situation and what they are saying. Dont spread false accusation about Russians. Dont spread hate towards them because they are good people, might not all but not this sitaution in your video. Sorry, Im also a filipina but I cant be in your side in this situation. Its you who are descriminating them and not they to you. Next time, try to be patient specially when you dont understand at all.

I dont think that this women are insulting you, they are just trying to asked if your man practiced prostitution and you will be a possible victim. As I undertood on what they are saying, they are just concern on you and its not polite being a foreigner to swear them or call them bitch first. Its you who are causing trouble and your man filming them without permission. For me as Filipina also but citizen now here in Russia, you should stay silent and avoid direct confrontation to people that can possibly put you in trouble specially when you cant understand what they are saying. When you are in other country, when you are a foreign person on a land you are in, specially with no better understanding on the language that citizens spoken, try to practice our calm, respectful and polite attitude being a filipino. Because when you will be in a foreign land, it will be not you anymore. You will be a filipina already, you will represent our race already so be careful on showing your claws, put it in the right place and in the right time. Avoid being entitled just because our husband's loves us and they can protect us, because of doing so..... You dont know, you will put him in trouble also. Just a piece of advice from a filipina who are massage therapist here in Russia but being loved of Russian citizens. Calling you a massage therapist just because you are a filipina is not a thing that you should react exaggerated, its a decent job.

Well, there was no racism there.. These drunken women assumed that he was a pimp and possibly holding a foreign woman in sexual slavery.. Well, at least that's how they wanted to present it.. But in my opinion, a certain jealousy arose in them that a beautiful young foreigner was with him.. (this is my personal opinion). So they clung to them.. But there was no racism, that's for sure! Dont try to fight back not physically a no no no you're not in ph..dont pur yourself in a difficult situation in a foreign land coz you might end up in jail if things gets worst.

The very fist thing, i would have done is to get my wife out of this situation, immediately. I would have done that first. Then, if the wife is at a safe spot, you can still go back and show these drunks who is the boss, or hold them accountable for their actions. But why do you let this happen to her all the time, while begging for these women to stop? Thats beta male behaviour. My Asian wife will never have to sit something like this out.

Dear Darlene - I think you are a very brave person and willing to take responsibilities to help your family. Maybe I am wrong, but I might have an idea why you were so upset and angry when those very distasteful women on the train insinuated that you were a massage girl. Seeing your videos that your moved to Malaysia to help your family. And seeing you at your home, you likely grew up under challenging conditions - nevertheless I reckon you made the best of the situation and that you and your family did your best to put food on the table and help you get to where you are today. It is amazing that you became the main provider helping to send your sisters to go to university. No doubt, others in similar condition in the Philippines (and Thailand and many other countries) might have choose a different path, to work in the entertainment and sex industry to survive - which is nothing to be ashamed about. But, and I am guessing, maybe you did your best to avoid that type of life. So when those terrible women thought you were a massage girl, it must have caused a reaction in you because you have worked hard to have a different life. Don't worry about what those stupid women said, and don't worry if people think you are from the entertainment industry - you are a GOOD person. And people who work in the entertainment and sex industry only do so to get ahead, to survive and help their families - that is totally OK too and they are also good people. Please just concentrate on your new life with your husband and continue to do your best, I know you will find happiness ! You are an intelligent, good, and hard working person and I am proud of you. Please know unfortunately that there are cruel people all over the world , as an Asian living in the US I have experienced racism since I was a child and though I still find racism towards me painful, I have learned to look the other way - it is not worth violence and anger. Keep being a good person that you are, you will do fine. You have incredible wealth in a lovely family - I envy you. An admirer of yours and your family from the US. 😀

This is the same here in Australia, with my Filipina wife & also myself a New Zealander, it is horrible. Women in the west acting like this, watch legion of men & many other vlogs & you will quickly learn how messed up it is. When we went to Philippines I fell in love with it there so much! People actually want to know about you & where you are from. We cannot wait to get our kids over there to live soon in Bolinao Pangasinan! Australia is so inhospitable & the youth crime & cost of living is terrible. Google all the racist rants on public transport in australia you will be shocked. In saying all this, you would have to be very naive to not know also the reason why these women think this.. my wife was used by a foreign man & I have seen the disrespect by his Australian family towards her & her family also.
