We have some unexpected news. Mom is flying back to Russia.
Mom said she needed to go back to Russia to correct some paperwork.
Boria and I were hesitant to send her now, but mom said she should go.
We were saving up to buy a motorcycle, but we had to use the money to buy a plane ticket. My husband and I will have time to save up again. As long as Mom's okay.
This clearance is given to foreign tourists who have been in the Philippines for more than 6 months and want to travel abroad.
After a delicious lunch, we went to the supermarket.
A few days before mom's departure, we brought her to the beach. Magnaga waters beach resort is located in the municipality of Pantucan, about 25 kilometers from Maco.
The entrance is only 50 pesos per person, so it's quite affordable.
If you rent a cottage or these tables, you can use the waterslide.
Here you can lay a mat and have a picnic, which is what we are going to do today.
There are a lot of coconut trees here. It is quiet and there is a nice breeze blowing.
A local vendor came up to us and started offering his goods. Mom has long dreamed of pearl jewelry. Today her dream came true. Boria and I gave her a necklace, two bracelets and earrings.
The Philippines is called the pearl of the orient seas for its long history of pearl mining and cultivation, cultural and natural beauty.
We're glad mom has a piece of Philippine beauty.
A simple but delicious lunch.
It's a beautiful day: the weather, the scenery, the food. It is so nice to share these beautiful moments with our family.
Mom says everything will be fine. She sees Filipinos are good people. And knows that Boria and I will take care of each other.
So the day comes when we take Mom to the airport. She begins her journey.
Boria can't go to Russia with her. We realize that there is a possibility that he may not be able to get back to me. We told mom what she needs to know about the flight and connections. We're worried, but she assures us that she'll be fine. And that it will be an adventure for her.
Boria and I will be making family plans, saving up money to buy land. We know mom really likes it here. And we want her to have a cozy home when she comes back.
