If this mystery pedal isn’t a J.Rockett Archer what do you think it is? Let me know!
@jsjirn3 жыл бұрын
My initial impression was that it was an Archer. There are at least four version of the Archer, including the Jeff Beck mod. I wouldn't be surprised if J Rockett modded one for him as well.

since several month (the interview where he speak about people buying pedal he used) I'm thinking maybe Mayer is doing his own Van Halen secret message and try to fool us with different painting and other tricks ;) Maybe his real board is hiding in the back just for fun...Like Van Halen and all his fake info he was used to give just to mess with people searching for his sound .... Great video again thanks

Pedal builders must be falling over themselves to get John to use one of their pedals. Like when he used the Marshall blues breaker pedal. I got one when they first first came out . Good price at the time . Used it for many years. Now going for crazy prices. That’s what playing guitar does to you.
@JustinJeske3 жыл бұрын
I sold mine, not worth the cash imo. Doesn’t really sound great at all if you take out the Mayer thing.

I love the idea that John could troll us and swap all of the cases and the electronics with each other. This would drive us crazy and create some hypes with us pedal fanatics.

My theory: Since JHS is doing all the Klon memes on Instagram and John likes everyone of them, I bet the mystery pedal is JHS' version of the Klon which they will release soon.

I use a looper pedal for the same purpose. Kicking on delay and reverb at the same time as I rarely use one without the other for what I play. Basically acts as an FX loop integrated into my pedal board. It's an absolute godsend if you regularly need to activate multiple effects at once.

To me the TS10 on it’s own doesn’t have enough gain for that solo tone. So it makes sense the mystery pedal would be a klon clone.
@JustinJeske3 жыл бұрын
I agree, it’s more saturated than his regular lead tone with just the TS10

I think hes using a boss sd1 into and arion chorus with a dd3. He has a crew of miniature monkeys remixing those pedals in to vintage pedal enclosures just to eff people up.

Have you considered that the mystery pedal form LTH is perhaps the J,rcokett Lenny, it has the top mounted jacks and the rough colour, however most of the J. Rockett pedals have too mounted jacks and that rough colour
@JustinJeske3 жыл бұрын
The Lenny has 2 knobs which would rule it out!
@harrisonkelly99643 жыл бұрын
@@JustinJeske oh yeah sorry, didn’t notice that, there is a possibility for some other J rockett pedals as they do a couple dumble style and Klon style pedals which would compliment the TS10 for a stacked gain tone quite well
@AsherRapp3 жыл бұрын
I still think the mystery pedal could be a Jackson Audio Prism. The mosfet boost makes sense and it gets knarly like the Klon. If I could own only one pedal it would be the prism. It's a boost not it's a pre amp too oh an it's an overdrive...lots of features.
