SF6 and T8 have shown how big patches need to be done. Each of their last major patches are comprehensive and explain how they want the characters to play and thus why they altered specific moves. Everything that NRS does seems reactionary. They need to evaluate what they want each character to do, what they want each Kameo to do, and generally what the balance between offense and defense and the time that a person can maintain their "turn" in a round. If Johnny, Peacemaker, Kenshi, and Ashrah (as well as Tanya, Kitana, Reiko, etc.) are the baseline for power, then start changing character's frame data so that there isn't such a wide disparity between the elite teams and the mid-tier. Also, if you designed a Kameo and it only works for a few characters, lean into that. If, say, Darrius can be a top tier Kameo for 5 low-mid tier characters and make them more viable, lean into that design. And like SF6 and T8, nerf overpowered shit. For instance, why is Reiko zoning rather than poking at range and sliding for combo damage? Why is Peacemaker launching himself into the air for chip damage to close a round and why is there so little counterplay? There is the core of a good game in there, but the devs need to sit down and get

The kameo system is extremely hard to balance. I do not envy them rn. I think the ambush moves are the most interesting combat mechanic (jax,scorpion,mavado, darrius, ect) id like to see going forward in later games. And by that I mean each character having a move or moves tied to the 'kameo' button but aren't actually assist characters.

souls used sindel cyrax way before the accidental “buffs” he didn’t care about the horizontal chopper at all he’s primarily using it for the set play of meter drain net and self destruct

@@binkl2844 For Geras, yes Lao kameo sucks because it uses a full kameo bar now to charge an hourglass if you hold the low hat during that for protection. The teleport is still great but Motaro is better if all you care about is the teleport. And yes, it is widely known that Geras has the worst down 1 in the game because of its incredibly short range.

Nah making the Torpedo a High actually cripples him significantly. When he’s trying to zone you out all you have to do is just wait till he calls for eagley to block while crouching because the gun shot and now torpedo can no longer hit you. Torpedo was a big threat in the zoning aspect because it hit you while you were ducking before

@@jmack8230 he’s not dead in the water and yes a Kameo will make it safe like it’s been doing but if you’re able to completely duck it you don’t have to worry about that chip damage then a Kameo like Kano with the throwing knives cause you can just hold your position and the knives will miss too. I’ve played a few PM in Kombat League since this patch and I can feel the difference. I fought 4 and won 3 of the sets.

I Play Cyrax A lot I noticed that if you hold hold his detonation after you spent half the kameo they give you extra kameo meter after it’s all spent to hold down the detonation for a lil longer

I've been using Cyrax with Smoke for a couple of months now. I like that squad. I didn't even get to use the squad while he got reverted back because i never felt like playing the game. Missed out on some free Ws.

Not mentioned patch is: If you slam general shaos axe to the ground during the final round it pauses and makes the axe revert back to his hands, so can’t do brutality setups. Stupid change

My thinking is they're releasing a big patch with the takeda/ferra release. It makes sense because EVO is a month away and takeda/ferra release a few days after EVO. It still sucks that Cyrax wont see the light of day anymore; I still agree with your point of buffing everything to spice the game up.

People were consistently flawless blocking cyrax in final kombat making him almost irrevelant and unlike day 1 cyrax he build no meter on flawless block anymore along with the chip negation. I thought he was fine tbh

Homelander was fine. His kombos that were long actually took skill to do. Not to mention he's hitting average kombo for what I've seen. I think 22 hits is the most I've seen so far in a match. Some characters damb near get 30 hits.

Geras needs those time clocks to add something else to his move list or at least buff something. like each clock add damage to his specials and maybe makes the startup slightly faster.

Souls clue was already using Cyrax in his nerf state before the last patch. He never really uses the horizontal chopper he mainly uses net and the bomb for his set ups so he'll still use Cyrax

Johnny is the safest character, as he’s got more plus frames than any others. It’s impossible to get out of the corner without armour. Cyrax and Stryker are unjust nerfed. In the same logic all kameos should cost one bar, and recharged at least 90 seconds 😂😂😂

I’m HOPING that the takeda/ferra release comes with a big patch with buffs because it’s a few days after EVO; I think the idea was to let everyone practice with the new changes for a month because that’s when EVO is. Granted they might not and it might be an L patch but I blame WB because they suck and they ruined the suicide squad game.
