It's pretty interesting to consider the differences between the species in this genus and how that relates to their ecological niches. Thanks for the interesting video!

Which ones are you having the most fun with when it comes to observing them?

Right now I suppose I enjoy watching my Pogonomyrmex mariopa the most. They are just so chill until they are bothered and than they get super aggressive, but they are terrible climbers.

My occidentalis aren't doing anything while my barbatus are trying to explode. They are kept in the same conditions. I'm not sure my occidentalis queen has laid one egg since I had her

Each of my colonies seem to have moments where the queen goes into a egg laying frenzy and than slows down to a crawl. I cannot really offer any advice. My attitude towards all my colonies is that at any moment something could go "wrong" and I could loss a colony unexpectant. It might seem like a poor attitude, but despite ant colonies being resilient, they can be unpredictable. I do recommend to try not to get discouraged and keep trying.

@@Bradimus1981 I don't get discouraged. As long as the queen is alive I know it can pick up at any time
