De Ruyter should sue Eskom and Government for constructive dismissal, because that is what it is. There is only one way to fix escom and that is to start at one end of the system and slowly and systematically do the planned maintenance on the power stations that has been neglected for the past 20 years. Unfortunately that means that we all need to put up with load shedding until that task has been completed. 20 years of mismanagement and running equipment into the ground can't be fixed in 2 years and we all need to accept this fact. This is the direct consequence of letting political expediency get in the way of technical facts! Cadre deployment summed up in a nutshell. :(

They should keep Andre as head of Corporate Governance / Strategy Advisor at Eskom. They need to bring a CEO who will sort out the (over) staffing issues. Someone who will give the unions kak, like Sipho Maseko or Neal Froneman.
