I've always thought that the voices are down to a tee spot-on in this - both the choices of VA's and their performances. Especially the three witches. Also - this is how they look, more or less, in my head. I'm so glad I've got this on DVD ^^

I always loved Gytha's commentaries. Pratchett actually hinted she's really the most powerful one, she just doesn't care to have to go around keeping up appearances. She definitely has the best knack for balancing the two sides of being a witch.

@@willieoelkers5568 When you think about how much of the magic power in the Discworld universe is directly proportional to the common beliefs and will of the people, it's easy to see it , the way she's pretty much known through the whole country and has family and connections all through it. Even when villains try to turn the populace against the witches, Nanny is the least affected by it. And I'm pretty sure it was implied in one of the books that one of the main reasons Granny kept her close is because she feared if she ever went Bad, Nanny would be the only one powerful enough to stop her.

It's changed a lot, Meryl and several of the truly great lecturers and tutors have gone, replaced by people who are no longer that great. It happened the year I was leaving, but there was a bit of an exodus after a series of major, very dumb, changes to how the course is run.

I love how he switch from this creepy deep voice demon to a sassy queen (and possibly gay) voice. Just saw the movie last night. Thought it was cute and funny, and now I can't get enough of it.

As awful as the animation is, they did a tremendous job getting the voice cast right. Pretty much each character is as I would have imagined them. Better casting then stick David Jason as either Albert of Rincewind, ffs...
