I think personally you have to be a really good composer and producer to mix these elements seamlessly without them feeling like they are stepping on top of each other. And this is what Blake seems to be great at, you can even hear his touches on Shadow of Intent's new song as well since he helped produce that. I for one never see anything as a gimmick or a crutch, all that matters is if you can pull it off and make it rad, thats all that matters in the end, and this dude keeps kicking out bangers.
