I'm sorry it took me a moment to arrive here to say this, but I haven't been as happy with a perspective on my artwork in a long time as I was with this. I really appreciated that you gave it an honest listen and didn't try to hide difficulty you experienced with it, which for me as an artist is a sign of artistic success. There is definitely a lot to take in with this, saying it means something special to me is an understatement. Very dark and personal, sometimes even traumatic and yet also beautiful themes and concepts directly related to who I am and what I have lived through are presented here in riddles and allegories, hidden but not hiding. I am forever grateful for this.

The reason it’s so good is because it shows us who you are, and if there’s things we can’t understand in its storytelling it’s not due to lack of direction but because you’re on a wavelength that others aren’t- something commendable in today’s morass of streamlined acceptable personality tropes masquerading as uniqueness. Parts of this remind me Kayo Dot. That's another group that switched to making Goth/Synth Rock which still retained the darkness and 'spirit' of their heavier releases.

I think the band is saying that we need to accept that its just a turning point, instead of trying to avoid acknowledging something unpleasant while avoiding resignation all the same. (compartmentalization of suffering.) What do you think mr scaley?

I’m lazy, what did Beato say? He’s just a goober music fan in love with the language of music instead of what it could be a vehicle for producing. Schooled players are all like this.

@scaleitback1055 He basically said modern music sucks and a big reason why is because streaming services made it much more accessible to upload and consume music which in turn diminishes the artistic appreciation for music. He goes into alot more detail in his video "Critics be damned: Real talk on modern music".

@scaleitback1055 yea, that's why I put controversial in parenthesis. In my opinion most of what he said I thought was common knowledge but apparently it's "controversial" now. If im remembering I think he also mentionws that quantization and autotune is also sterilizing music which I can totally see being "controversial" in modern times.
