I just left im NEVER going back! i was in a deep depression for the last few years dealing with them and instead of them helping me spiritually they shunned me and called me crazy. Had me thinking God didn't like me! Then when I started asking why are ALL their biblical characters depicted as caucasian when WE know thats not what they all looked like and i was told I was questioning Jehovah. I wrote the society and they wrote back with bs excuses smh the congregation is NOT loving but are gossipers, backbiters, cliquish just horrible! They don't like me because I call out how they really are! im NEVER GOING BACK TO THAT DEMONIC DEPRESSED CRAP!

I was a young man going to trade school and working in a typewriter repair shop when this gentle elderly man walked into the shop with a typewriter that had a problem, he said he was writing a book and it was urgent to him to get this repaired. I was able to repair it and during this time I found this gentle man sincere, honest and very passionate about getting this book completed. We had great conversations about the content of it and his desire tell the truth and reach as many people as possible not concerned about financial gain but to right a terrible wrong that he had done by leading so many people for so many years into this cult. Crisis of Conscience was his attempt to set things right and truly understand who God is who Jesus really is. I know the JW family and company he worked for and the pain caused by the organization, many thankfully left the organization here locally and lives were changed forever because Ray had the courage to speak out.

ExJW Critical Thinker the rest of the story really speaks to the damage down by the watch tower. The family that Ray worked for was obviously traumatized by the experience and the father of this family did lead most of his family out of this awful organization but sadly one of the family whom I went to school with sad he didn’t really lead them to anything or to a real relationship with God some of them have wondered away. It’s been some time since I’ve talked with them and I know a few are true believers and I pray they all have come to Christ. But years were lost due to the watchtower. These are good people and our community is the better because of them

Jerome, Your comment about Ray's urgency to finish writing Crisis of Conscience and his need to atone for the policies he argued for while a member of the GB moved me. He was kind to me when I visited 30+ years ago, but in the back of my mind, I wondered whether he felt any pangs of conscience for the articles he wrote. In this area, I had mixed feelings about him, for he was part of that Governing Body that deeply affected so many. Honestly, Ray was part of the problem, too. Yet, your recollection of what he desperately needed to do calms my doubts. Thank you.

I find it very sad that many people who have been born into or chosen to become part of a cult end up as atheists or agnostics. It's critical to remember that God didn't let you down or mistreat you, humans around you did. God is still there waiting for you to let Him love you.

I literally thought this was a comment I left some years ago, I say exactly the same thing and weep, to be honest. It's sad how many ExJWs become very bitter, angry and they become the direct opposite of what they were before. They become among the worst people in society, people with zero morals and who will do anything. Why reject God? Why reject the Bible? What's the point?

Ray Franz in his introduction of his book, Crisis of Conscience, quotes from the January 15, 1974 Watchtower ____________ QUOTE: "When persons are in great danger from a source they do not suspect or are being misled by those they consider their friends, is it an unkindness to warn them? They may prefer not to believe the warning. They may even resent it. But does that free one from the moral responsibility to give that warning? " Ray finishes up by saying: "What this book contains is written but out of a sense of obligation to people whom I sincerely love. In all good conscience I can say that it's aim is to help and not hurt. If some of what is presented is painful to read, it was also painful to write. It is hoped that the reader will recognize that the search for truth need never be destructive of faith, that every effort to know and uphold truth will, instead strengthen the basis for true faith. What those reading this information will do with it is, of course, their own decision. At least it will have been said, and a moral responsibility will have been met. " Ray's conscience is now cleared. May he rest in peace until he meets with Christ when he comes, and the resurrection begins. God bless our dear brother Ray Franz~

I heard about his book from people talking about it at the kingdom hall. It was an apostate book! I heard that it wasn't true. That Ray Frantz lied about the organization. When they spoke about the book I noticed it was spoken about in hushed tones. Like, they felt afraid to even talk about it in the kingdom hall. Then, I stumbled across it in a most unlikely place. I didn't see any lies in it. Anything that I knew about the organization was exactly correct. I knew some people that were very close to Fred Frantz at the time. Suddenly I remembered their conversations, that I overheard. I was very young at the time but I heard them distinctly. Everything that these "brothers" knew and they still stayed in the cult. They are all dead now. Stayed in their entire lives, knowing first hand of the societies corruptions. When I read Crisis Of Conscience, there was some of the same things that I overheard these "brothers" talking about many years before. It was the first time that I heard the place called Beth Sirim. At the time I didn't know what it was or where it was. Then I read the book and there it was.

My mother raised me in this organization since I was 5, and I never wanted anything to do with it. I’m 43 now, and she is still in and a firm believer. Her closest brother joined in the late 80’s, and recently left. She cut him off and hasn’t spoken to him since. I can tell it hurts her, but she chooses the organization over her own sibling. I recently asked her about Tony Morris, and she became livid. With me. For even asking. Her reaction was so irrational. She started crying and raising her voice that I was listening to apostates and trying to cause her to stumble. Stumble how? By asking questions? The control is scary!

So glad I've found a support system. As being a disfellowshipped mother if six I've never met my grandchildren. I am grateful that four of my six children saw the craziness of this organization. Proud that I broke the chain. In fact my youngest has gone four years to UCLA, and is now at Stanford. I do regret with extreme sadness coupled with guilt in not encouraging the older ones to attend college. I feel I should have protected them better.

I knew Raymond Franz personally. His book confirmed everything I was feeling for a very long time. My dad was an elder of congregation In Brooklyn. I was born and raised in the organization. It was in the 80's when I finally LEFT! My Dad passed away before I left, but in cleaning out some of his books and bible. There were notes and questions. It is my belief that he had doubts! Anyway, I've been out over 30 years and I have a much closer relationship with God and his son Jesus. Bless you for all that you do. Keep sharing the Truth!🙏❤

I was always afraid of reading apostate literature because I thought my faith would be destroyed so I didn't, I just read the Bible. But the Bible has destroyed my confidence in the organization. After a few years of personal study I got the inclination to check out the various apostates, and to my surprise and delight many of them have come to similar conclusions. Now I can study my Bible on my own and really delve into it, unhindered by JW theology and judgment. I love God more than ever, my faith is stronger. I realize that God was telling me the whole time "something is wrong with this picture, trust your heart, examine the scriptures" The witnesses were pretty good for me when I got started but something went wrong, they got sidetracked into a system of works toward salvation, Fear, Obligation and Guilt. Not for me anymore! Thank you for a great discussion. Peace

Fear, guilt, shame, control and PRIDE...these are the building blocks of the Jehovah's Witnesses of the Watchtower Society and I'm so very thankful that many many people are coming out of this cultic organization. I was born into it and there are several generations of family members buried alive in it. Trusting the LORD to carry them home and I've been praying since 1996. Some people I've had the honor to share varying levels of critical thinking as well. Posing questions to stimulate them. It's a horrible thing to have mind control. Thank you for what you're doing. I visited Ray Franz in 1991, staying in his modest yet warm Georgia home three days. I needed the emotional mooring of his balanced and mature soul - a soul fully familiar with the Jehovah's Witnesses - to help me say 'Good bye' to the past (I had been disfellowshipped a year earlier). He was kind, intelligent, modest, generous, and I suppose aware of how fragile this traveler from California was. Cynthia Franz was a delightful and welcoming host, cooking fine meals, We didn't discuss the flaws of the Society very much; rather, his garden and the dense woods barely 75 yards from his home, and other mundane things I can no longer recall. What I do remember toward the end of the third day was a faint, but definite voice heard in prayer saying, "All will be fine. I am guiding you. Trust my direction". On the flight back to Los Angeles, challenges many and doubts still quite loud, I was better, if even just a bit. Visiting Raymond and Cynthia Franz was needed and I thank them and God for their (His) kindness.

You won’t belive this, as a perosn who faded for 7 yrs but woke up on the 7th year, trying to find a kingdom hall in Birminingham UK as an Afrikan immigrant, was shell shocked by the first article that appeared , the Watchtower and the UN. That was in 2004. I then began my journey by researching the Organisation, I found the Crisis of Conscience , In Search of Christian Freedom and The Gentile Times Reconsidered by Jonsson. I finished reading all of them within 3 months, thanks to the time I had in my previous job. My favourites are the two Crises and The Gentile Times. I love the Christian Freedom. However, I wanted to be sure of the religion itself and studied the History of Christianity, one of the books was by WH Frend, The Rise of Christianity. I also researched how we ended up with the Bible. All that made me an atheist. Thanks for lovely work, and keep up the real good news, helping the captured by the WT.👊🏿

I’m about three quarters of the way through this book, and I can honestly say I haven’t cried as much for ages. It seriously got to me, all the lies and deception! Especially the Mexico/Malawi account, I cried for days after learning about that! I left 20 years ago, but it was only the back end of last year that I started looking into things. I’ve discovered so many things wrong with the organisation, and reading CoC just reinforced all the research I was doing. Like u were saying, it’s not written with any malice at all, it’s totally from the heart and honest, with evidence to back everything up. I recommend it to everyone

I read both books in their entirety. I'm the only one from a large family who has left (cousins, sister's, parents, aunts and uncles). It's been a long lonely road. The evaporated love from my mother was not as bad as from my only true biological sister, I have a step brother who left. Very sad. We were so close. She still won't talk to me. And I've completely missed the lives of my nephews who I still love so deeply. I get sad and angry sometimes. It's an amazing thing that Franz was so gentles and kind. I have a hard time not being upset and angry because I lost everything and everyone as a teen and had to fend for myself.

One day while sitting in the Kingdom Hall ,studying a book they had about Revelation, God Almighty spoke to me. The book said that the last person who was going to go to heaven went in 1935. God said “That’s not true that’s not scriptural “ I was undone! From that point on I began to question everything the witnesses had taught me. It was a long journey but I finally broke free from JWs . Today I’m a Christian, filled with the Holy Spirit speaking in tongues. I did gain some valuable disciplines while I was a JW, such as studying the Bible. However, I know I don’t have to have the organization to have “light “ because Jesus is the light.

I was astounded that Ray Franz had come upon the discrepancy about the 'times of the gentiles' as I had found the same information prior to reading C of C. I was actually trying to STRENGTHEN my faith by doing research and found that the date for the destruction of Babylon (the key to the whole timeline for JWs) was different than what I'd been taught in JW-land. C of C and his follow up book "In Search of Christian Freedom" changed my life for the good. It helped me to not be fearful of destruction, punishment, Armageddon and all that stuff that kept me cowed and broken. Bless you Ray Franz for what you did for thousands of honest hearted people.

As the son of a Presiding Overseer, I have personally witnessed the elders discussing two cases of confessed child sexual abuse. One was a ministerial servant who molested his 10 year old daughter. The other case was his 18 year old son who statutorily raped a 14 year old girl. The girls father was on the committee, and I still remember him saying, "I don't think the police should be involved because of the reproach it would bring on Jehovahs name." He was talking about his own 14 year old daughter being raped, and that was his response.

Very nice homage here for a truly great, yet humble man, who meant so much to so many. I'm sure his words will continue to free those for many years to come. So awesome to see this 5th edition go to print! I like how you started the discussion, emphasizing Rays calm and loving writings, so different from the evil angry Apostate spewing lies as he was portrayed to us by Watchtower after he left. That aspect was what compelled me to continue reading his book many years ago, when I allowed myself the courage to pick it, his humble and calm message pulled me right in.

BEWARE A WARNING FOR ALL EX JWS ; ROBERT SKYNNER TARGETS EX JWS ; did a video which said I bore no ill feeling towards Robert Skynner of Christian Comedy Channel BEFORE I was advised to speak with the Police. During my interview with them I was convicted that I had actually been a victim of a conman. THE POLICE TOLD ME ; Conmen like Robert do not break the law as they prey on the vulnerabilities and pity of others. The Police deal with many just like him. They offered me victim support as I was in pieces after they saw the "highly manipulative "letters Robert posted to me some of which they perceived as "threatening" . Sadly there was little they could do except issue Robert with an official warning ( posted on my channel ) . As a Christian I did all I could to help him completely taken in by numerous lies as was Mark Fox. That poor guy is on Morphine due to a degenerative bone disorder yet he still went out to work and tried to support Robert Skynner financially over months in addition to raising his own family. His ministry lies in tatters as his pain at being publically called a conman and thief by Robert has devastated him. You can clearly see Robert do this on the video I uploaded. AFTER speaking to the Police they advised me to publicise what has happened and warn others hence my videos. I will be doing another updating the situation. Whilst I bear Robert no ill will I am having great difficulty coming to terms with the lies he told Mark Fox and others about me, after a huge amount of emotional support , financial assistance given to Robert I am £5000 poorer and broken . I can't believe all the Police told me but know their words were true. I have been the victim of a major conman . Please don't tell me I haven't or my words are hearsay I have provided the evidence, have contacted the Police and apart from offering me victim support and issuing Robert with an official Police warning they can't do anything because lying, manipulation, and preying upon vulnerable people is not against the law. PLEASE BE CAREFUL HE IS VERY GOOD AT GROOMING HIS VICTIMS AND I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOU AS A VICTIM AS MANY HAVE BEEN. More details on my channel

I love you guys and people like you folks are the reasons why me and my husband became JW's like my family. Good people with good hearts. Thank goodness we woke up 2008 however I was a black sheep and in the brothers and sisters eyes because I asked tooo many questions. Last conversation I had with a nephew is that No Brad I don't go to the meetings anymore because I have so many questions. Questions I need answers for but instead of saying what questions Aunty maybe I can answer them he just said Oh Ok and hung up! I think one reason that so many witnesses my family included "drink" excessively because inside their heart and soul they also have questions and feel trapped as well and do not have the courage to get out. Thank you guys for all you do and it is a real blessing to have your videos and the truth. Bye the way I was watching a you tubers talk about the top of the peak of the evil run cabal (many names for them) and he showed a drawing/map of how from the top of the peak flows down the pyramid linking ALL religions and these clubs and in the bottom right hand corner was JW's Charles Taze Russell. And of course we all have seen the pyramid by his gravesite. If I find the map again I will preserve it and share it. Thank you! Thank you! and we wished we lived closer so we could visit. I know a guy like that. Really nice guy. He and his dad have their own companies and I figured being a business owner he'd be a fairly intelligent guy. Wrong. Has a nice house so he often had the Co/PO/COBE. over to his house. He was in for the prestige and titles, And because he has a little $$$ the brothers look upon him favorable I floated some indirect questions before when I was still in and I doubt he'd ever keave. The prestige fits his personality well. I've moved on, but he was one of the few people I think would be nice to hang around outside the Org. He and his wife have done at least 3 international conventions so I know he likes that feeling of being special since you have to be invited.

forever, I thought Jehovah was the one to bring about destruction? sighting natural disasters as an excuse to what was pushed by the society for 1975 is pure naivety and ignorance. I was brought into the "truth" around that time at the age of 10, brainwashed that the gov. body were "holy men". But as soon as I turned 13 I had a non-believing father that thankfully allowed me to be a normal teenager. There were things I could never see myself living up to in life. even once I came back in 1987 just for a girl/wife. I soon quit and have studied here & there over the years until I finally had enough with certain doctrines and not satisfactory answers to my logical questions. I cannot understand how they can take someone newly interested that is a drug dealer, child molester, thug etc. Show them how loving they are to strangers, yet a "brother or sister" in the kingdom hall that has been dis-fellow-shipped & obviously repenting because they are there. can bring a "strong" believer down, yet the "worldly" person NOT? I mean why can't you just say "hello & it is so good to see you". offer them encouragement. Never hang out with them outside the hall? to me that is one of the biggest hypocritical offenses that also kept me from ever even wanting to become a baptized member. I also am angry because they were many members that were worse than Catholic priest molesting their own children. I also at 12-13 knew of an 18 year old that raped a 6 year old girl & because the father worked offshore he wasn't an elder or what not, they kept that from him by the elders direction. because he would have likely strangled the offender. Anyway I still don't get why they refused to turn over all the names of those molesters to the courts? that bring reproach upon Jehovah is a bullshit excuse.

I am happy I have been able to see the WT hemorrhaging members. (pun intended) It is great to have help and encouragement out here these days. I had none of that when I left in 82. Before I faded from the organization, I attended a kingdom hall where one of the elders was a former district overseer. It blew my mind while reading the book to find out that he was the one that disfellowshipped Raymond Franz. I knew him quite well, in fact I had him over to my home with his wife several times. Both my children highly respected him before he died a few years ago. I think of him much differently now. He was a total company man and I’m sure he had no idea how those wicked men above him had used him. He had to have been completely brainwashed into thinking that Raymond Franz was a wicked man

forever You have been brainwashed into thinking that the watch Tower in Bible tract Society, or JW.org is God’s organization. I think Jehovah will destroy this organization along with the rest of Babylon the great. I have not turned my back on the true God Jehovah if that indeed is his name. I am a follower of his son Jesus Christ. The watch tower and Bible tract Society is an antichrist as far as I’m concerned. Their governing body has put placed them self in his position demanding people can only get to the father through them which is a lie. Jesus said no one gets to the father except through me. Once again you have been brainwashed. You need to look at the other side of the story. as a 3rd generation Jw, Regular Pioneer serving `Where The Need Is Greater', whose grandmother professed to be of `The Anointed', i had doubts. When i heard Ray Franz had left the religion i thought there must be something he has said, or wrote, and i knew i had to find out what he said. I found out he wrote Crisis Of Conscience and ordered it. Before I finished the first chapter i knew i had raised since birth to believe in a specific pattern and never knew how to think outside that pattern, until i started reading the first chapter of his book. I had read other books from ex-JW's, but they seemed like so many `sour grapes'. But Ray talked about doctrine, and discussed scholarly ideas and reasoning that was completely unknown to me. AS a `bible student' i was amazed at how many things he shed light on that was completely unknown to me. He did it in a way that was rational, reasonable, without bias, without bitterness. It just blew me away. Before finishing the first chapter i knew i could no longer be a part of this false religion.

We were so scared all the time. To get this book Crisis of Conscience was such a huge step for us. We too got ours at Barnes and Noble and it had to be ordered and sent to our home. The book came a couple of days later and was discreetly wrapped in a brown cardboard package. It was like we had ordered a porn subscription 😂 Now I tell everyone about it and strongly encourage folks to definitely put it on their reading list! 👍🏻😊🐞

The prohibition of this book is what makes it so thrilling to read. It's like the forbidden fruit.

I really enjoyed your video and hope it will motivate others to read Brother Franz books because he deserves recognition for telling the truth about the Organization. I left the organization nearly 40 years ago and I was shocked when I stumbled on a YT video about Ex-JW Governing Body member, Ray Franz being AN APOSTATE because I did not know he had left the JW's! I remembered his name from my JW days and started viewing all the videos available on YT of his interviews and discourses to audiences in several countries. As he spoke in the videos, I was deeply touched by his humble and loving attitude, it was obvious he had no malice and only a deep concern for others! Upon learning about his books, I immediately ordered both of them. When I left the JW's, I had decided never to return because their idea of brotherly love was very superficial and controlling and after reading Ray's book, I knew I had made the right decision!

Thanks for your video. Im struggling at the moment. Want to find my way to God and was brought up in JWs. My Brother and Mum still try to fet me back into it. But its scarred me mentally so much. I am now scared of all religions so just reading the Bible and pray.

Another great video. You three remind me of the great friendly personalities that existed in that organization and I am so glad you woke up and continued to educate and inspire your audiences. You should write a book yourself! I am sure it would be a best seller! Be blessed.

Thank you for the informational videos, we really appreciate them. I grew up in the cult on and off and my husband even came into it for a while. I got disfellowshipped and we eventually left and he took himself out. My mom, brother and my childhood friend are in it now and my mom and brother won't even talk to me or my kids or family. I lost all that I had from my first 40 some years of life as far as family or old friends go. They are life wreckers for sure. I wish they would watch some or all of these videos and wake up. I wish I never had anything to do with that cult.
