I've always done it by killing a geosymbol behind two of the Archers, it chain reactions and brings them all down to half~ health, get two high movement thieves out to throw the two 50% experience geosymbols onto the green panels, so now the archers are standing only on 100% experience panels, and then either combining them and killing them, or killing them separately.

There is a way to take much more levels faster in Ordeal 4. So much more and so much faster...

Cave of ordeals 4, just use tower attacks to feed XP to the smaller units which is enough to unlock new class tiers.

Why even bother getting the exp symbols if you're not even going to have the enemy stand on it when you kill them? The exp boost only applies to enemies on the panels, not your own units. So had the enemy killed your Abyssinian, the enemy would have gained 100% more exp instead. Just seems pointless the way you did it.
