Disgaea D2: Tyrant Overlord Baal Fight

A video showing the boss fight against Tyrant Overlord Baal. He is the game's hardest and ultimate Boss. It took around 30 minutes for the first time to defeat him in Rasetsu Mode(non-LoC). He is a lot harder than his previous incarnations and has 6 forms. Each form has 100 billion HP and 500 million in all stats. He comes equipped with a Baal Stigma, Super Time Engine, Broken Cellphone, and a Trapezohedron, which are all Level 999. You cannot steal from Baal however.
My setup: Valvatorez/Artina with Max LoC and Basic Stats. Both are equipped with a Heart's Shadow and a Broken Cellphone/Cosplay Cat Ears.
Valvatorez has Absorption to absorb Baal's stats and Patience to increase damage. I have 4 Male Angels to boost ATK and Barbara to build up a stationary bonus which helps a lot in defeating Baal.
You get the Great Baal Horn(Ultimate Weapon in the Game), a Super Time Engine that lets you teleport around the map like the Hyperdrive, and the Tyrant Title for any character who landed the finishing blow to Baal after you defeat Baal.

If Baal is killed with a team attack (Example: Valvatorez and Laharl) will both charcters get the "Tyrant" Class name, or just the character who initiate the attack? (Ex 2. Valvatorez attacks, Laharl joins for the team. Do they both get the title, or does only Valvatorez?)

tokanite you would need a lot of time to do 250 reincarnations plus loc grinding plus item world grinding to get to this level, dont worry, this is probably one of the last things yu will do in this game as the only other thing left is this fight but maxed out stats using loc and 20 stars. most people leave the game after finishing the fight for the first time.

Nice! Glad you finally defeated Baal, Dragonite! However, my massive ego and "Overlord's Pride" makes me mad that I wasn't able to record a fight with Baal that I liked enough to upload to KZbin, despite it being 2 days now since I first defeated him in only 43 turns XD The shortest fight I've had with him was about 26 minutes, but I still thought it was too long to be worth uploading to KZbin XD I was really surprised that there was no Trophy for defeating him though...

Ha Ha! Yeah, the Super Time Machine is awesome! Although, I don't see why they didn't call it the "Hyper Drive" like in the original Disgaea: HoD. Actually, when I first got my Super Time Machine, for some reason it wasn't letting me teleport O.O I could go anywhere on the map I wanted, but I was still "moving" on the map, so I wasn't keeping the "Combo Correction" bonus! XD I turned the "Combat SPD" and "Player/Cursor SPD" down then up again in the settings and that seemed to fix it though! XD

T.O. Analyze just made my goal an impossibility. Doing this with only a Magic Knight's Sword Skills and Tera Fire would take some time, but becomes impossible if T.O. Analyze keeps track of all skills previously used and negates each one as well; and that seems to be case, judging from the video. Back to the drawing board. Good job on the fight though; definitely not easy.

how does stats go that high? it is my understanding that the total stats are LOC+base+equipment. your artina has 500 mil int, but 100mil(LOC)+100(base stats from reincarnation)+40mil (equipment)= only approximately half of what she has? I am guessing it has something to do with the stats from equpment is actually higher for some reason, but how??

Currently grinding to fight Big B and trying to come up with ideas for a strategy. Would an Alraune with Detox Aroma + Fortitude be useful? TO Pandemic and all. And do the three Depression Evilities work on him?

Well, the plan was to immunize the Detox + Fort Alraune to at least Poison and just use her on Phase 2 as a way of curing my fighters' ailments. Maybe even immunize her to Paralyze and Sleep as well so as to use her as a Mount to keep my main fighter's stationary bonus going.

so how'd you know you have maxed out the LoC stats? Where do you get the items? Also have you given them extra evilities? can you see the stationary bonus is it displayed anywhere? How many times have you reincined to get max basic stats I read it's like 255 plus the bonus 10? Did you go for the items of the stats first?

did it take hour's to find it but if i can't find the heart's shadow, is there a back up plan for me to take him on or is the heart's shadow a very useful to use and only way to kill baal that way? If there isn't a way, ik you told me not to lvl my gear to lvl 999 but i have been thinking really hard on how to kill baal with or without the heart's shadow if i'm lucky to find one i'll do it that way you did but if i can't find one i'll take my chance with all my gear to lvl 999 to do that way

By the way, I wasn't saying your fight with Baal was too long or anything like that, I was just saying that I didn't like any of my own fights with Baal enough to upload them to KZbin XD Except for the way I would defeat his final form... with my level 99 Overlord's Dimension!! It would've been easier if I could have had both the Living Armor's "Patience" Evility and Valvatorez's "Absorption" Evility, but I wanted to defeat Baal myself, so I could only use "Absorption"...

I know it says he's the most powerful incarnation of Baal yet, but didn't people have to use tricks and gimmicks just to endure an attack from him in Disgaea 4? Either the HP & Def have been balanced out with the attack or he's not as potent.

MrLucky7s Even if they are higher unless they changed the value of Def related stats there is on way they'd keep up. ATK and damage in the meta game has always vastly exceeded def and hp.

Compare the stats of his characters and Baal. The difference isn't that huge (in Disgaea terms). Oh and this is not the strongest version of Baal in D2, you can increase his stats even more and then he is on par with the Disgaea 4 version

great job dude :) I have a question: - I leveled up a 2 ninjas , Max LoC , Max base , heart's shadow, broken cell, CCE , so I can't have absorption AND Patience at the same time ..... unless I reincarnate into living armor which will limit my skills :( can I win without absorption ? ***** Hello Dragonite, I have a question, do you think beating baal with one damage dealer that has no super time engine nor another damage dealer to help and only about 530mill in all stats and 173Billion in HP/SP(I'm using Female laharl, she has absorption) with only about 2 skills at 99(Tera fire/Star) and level 67 SS and some A and B skills for all weapon types (also I have a broken cellphone with all my immunity innocents on it all at level 100) I also have all the fun items and a level 450ish baal sword plus max weapon mastery for all weapons except books, do you think I can beat baal non loc and no stars?

No, that would be Rasetsu Mode. It removes the limits on all your stats and levels except your main level. And its the only way you can even fight Baal...
