For those of you who are curious of why so many of these cutscenes lack voice acting it's because this was a right around the time of the ideal Factory Nippon Ichi falling out incident That's pretty much destroyed any hope of a Disgaea 6 mainly because the main artist for the series was poached by ideal Factory

pzab7022 in Disgaea 2 he appears in the main story as an unbeatable boss, but you can later fight him and unlock him as a playable character. in Disgaea 3 and 4 he was unlocked in the post game, no dlc.

This was a nice short story. That being said, Laharl was right that you shouldn't disrespect somebody's wishes like Flonne did no matter how much of a reason there is. IRL me, for example, would not like surprises.

Um just a connection here. d2 takes place after 3, but before to. Since at the end Etna runs off at the end to D2 likely to the world that 2 takes place on. and really for the baal feats he only beat the 2rd, and 3rd weakest version of him plot wise. while 2, 4, and 5's cast beat versions of Baal stronger then laharl has faced.

flameknightdragon 5 have the strongest version because I think it was stated that events in five that have been hinted took place way before all the other disgaea. Like Killia probably being an ancestor of laharl and red Magnus is a ancestor of zetta and Seraphina to Etna and Kristo being the head in angel forgot his name in disgae 1 and d2 and he also talked about a war which was most likely the war between the lost army and the rebel army and all the other netherworlds that try to fight of voids oppression

+leonardo luiz lima like I said this is non-canon, it's just to please the fanbase, it's non-chronological and unrelated. Laharl and the others weren't even born during D5, it was an age of chaos hence the participation of so many Overlords and Netherworlds during the story. don't forget Christo is Seraph Lamington and he's over 9 thousand years during D1, Laharl is 1300'ish, Etna 1400'ish and Flone, 1500'ish years old. Lamington (aka Christo) was a teenager during D5, only 2147 years old. so D1 happened 7 thousand years AFTER D5. the only way to tide both stories would be with alternative realities or time-traveling, which is confusing and it's just easier to label it as non-canon (which is the case). cheers mate

You have to beat them first. Talk to the character un the pocket netherworld to unlock their scenarios.

Laharl was the best protagonist because it was pretty unique. First time you play as a "Badguy" and he was still likeable. Newer characters like Killia come off as Try hards and Cliches. I still like Seraphina even if she's super annoying lol, she has a gun and being an annoying princess is part of her charm lol also her mini netherworld is super cool! like having your own secret base xD
