I had an argument with an RBL executive 7 years ago about where their donated money goes. The executive was on £125,000 p.a. and I knew that in every £1 donated 95p goes on administration, like his salary. RBL had a surplus of £63 million. "Kept for an unforseen circumstance" (his words). What 'unforseen circumstance' was going to necessitate needing £63 million, I asked. This at a time when the media were making the UK aware of goings on at RBL on scaling back housing to veterans as well as stockpiling money. I will not support RBL on principle. They are immoral. Give to Jim Davidson who passes on 100% of your donation to needy veterans.

My wife’s family gave money for decades to the RBL for them to put a poppy on a relatives grave who died in Anzio she found out by accident that they haven’t been putting the poppy on his grave when my wife phoned they said it was too expensive but they would appreciate her to still donate to them not happening
