We don't find that it is cost effective to replace a motor, we just replace the unit, but we aren't buying expensive dishwashers. Thanks for the video Lex.

@@LexVance Can It be possible that the motor is weak and doesn’t have enough power to push the water out it feels like it doesn’t have enough suction

cheap small set of socket/ratchet works nice or a 90 ratcheting screw driver, you can also use your impact gun bits in them. every stubby driver I've had always manages to vanish, always someone else likes them better or I loose them :(

Great job. However, me and my buddy, were just talking about this kind of thing. That's a $230 Dishwasher. You would have been ahead to replace it with a new one. New ones won't need at call back. After all, it's not your money. The days of "repair don't replace," are over in the residential home rental world I'm in. The example I gave my buddy was this... I went to a rental home... LR Ceiling fan was old, missing a globe and the light pull switch was burned out. I pulled the light assembly and the wires were charred. Normally, I'd throw it away, but had no time to install a whole new fan. So like a good tech, I wired around the problems and got the light working from the wall switch. Tenant was satisfied. My buddy said, "Yeah, the house will probably burn down now." He said, "Man when are you going to learn, Install new ceiling fans, or anything else, and stop your figging repairin'?" And you know, he is right. -

I don't think we do this at our complex. Probably more cost effective to just replace and keep the old dishwasher for the parts that do work.

very likely the capacitor on the side of the motor is what failed, they'll hum and get hot in that case, but may have a non resettable thermal overload. been a long while since I've torn any down :)
