My thermostat has a feature I hate. If Battery goes dead, it goes into max hear and won't cut off. Fix: When numbers start to fade: Get new battery! Enjoyed the video. I don't do this stuff, I just pay for them. Too old to care!🦇

I just bought a new head of of Amazon as parts for the kitchen faucet I have are more expensive than the head. Sometimes it just makes good sense to replace something if it is cheaper, faster, whatever. I hate doing the same job over again if it can be once and done.

Bro, all units don’t take 45 capacitors. You have to check the compressor serial number and check to see what cap it takes.
@LexVanceКүн бұрын
I didn't say all units. I said all the Goodmans on property that have rotary compressors. Yes, all rotary compressors on MY property take 45/5 capacitors.

There's a button you have to hold down for one minute and it'll wipe all old codes. Then put the new code in. I think you hold down the learn button for one minute.

No garbage disposer or dishwasher, Disconnected p-trap, snaked from that side, snaked 25 ft on the other side. No change, It's an old system, in a cottage. Is it possible that the vent is messed up? I don't do much cooking so I'm not dumping a lot of stuff down the drain. If I let it stand for three days it will go down but fill right up. I've done this all before but no luck this time.

My fuse blows as soon as I switch it to heat. It's all electric (no orange wire, just blue, green, yellow, white, and red). How would I test that?
@LexVance9 күн бұрын
Go wire for wire. Leave blue in the thermostats. Pull others out. Test green to white since it's heat. If it blows then there's a short on one of those wires. A nick in the wire. Or could be a bad tstat.

One more tip before you even open up the cover of your microwave! Please check the POWER LEVEL. We replaced a bad capacitor on a Samsung microwave and the power level was at 0 after the electricity had been disconnected. We thought the microwave was still not working since it was not heating. Once we set the POWER LEVEL to 10, it started working!

My washing machine does not spin, but it will if I open the lid and push a screwdriver where the lid is, it will spin. I also breathed through the hose and heard the click, but would I need a new pressure switch?

Sounds like your lid switch is bad. You can unplug it and cut the 2 wires on the lid switch and wire nut them together or order another lid switch.

This video was so right on the money! Our GE model is slightly newer than the one in your video but every step was excellent. Thanks for showing the steps! The data ribbon was tricky but showing that you pull up on the mounting block was perfect. The LED display had a unit that began flickering. It was interesting to note that this circuit board has been updated from the original. Bad component I'm sure.

Lousy repair. The screws MUST be in the stud, not in drywall, even with cheap plastic drywall butterfly anchors.
@LexVance13 күн бұрын
Well, it's still holding 5 years later. I hope whatever is going on in your life works out. Happy people don't cruise the internet being mean. Take care.
@sandrahurst412310 күн бұрын
@ I send my apologies. I was in a very aggravating situation because my closet shelf had just collapsed. I was watching videos to see what I needed to do to make it stronger and how to find the studs. I wasn’t interested in putting butterfly screws back into the same drywall holes. I should have been kinder, that is for sure, so I hope you will forgive me for my unthinking moment and comment. I am almost always a happy person, and do not cruise the internet to be mean. That’s not my nature, but at that moment I was angry at the situation and took it out on you. That was very unfair and unkind, so I do sincerely apologize. I’m glad your shelf is still holding up. Mine did for 12 years, but then gave out. I hope it won’t do that ever again, because it is extremely stressful to deal with. All my best to you and your channel!
