I put my finger on the bottom where u loosened the pop up and run the water and with my free hand jam the handle of my crescent wrench up and down and usually clears it quick . Just how I do it doesn’t mean it’s the only or right way but it works every time

Cut the bottom 1/3rd of a 5 gal. bucket and use it as a catch basin to pull the traps. Works very well.

Cool vids, but for a tip, use a shop vac to unclogged them. Still have to take out the stopper and put your thumb in the hole then just suck everything out. Alot faster and a lot less clean up

anytime brother... i'm in a so called "luxury" apartment while we finish the house build, i do my own maintenance for the most part. 6 bldgs, 114 units or so built less than 10 years ago and this place is falling apart. they repainted the place last year and it's already peeling, stained, mold, ant problem. they give you this line of crap saying it's built to condo specs, Bullshit... it's the same 1/2 drywall, 5lb foam with cheap carpet, the light bulbs are a car light bulb inside a regular bulb housing, they last MAYBE 200 hours, lights out all over the place, pool pump always burning out, did i mention the roof leaked 5 times in 1 year? it was raining on the inside of my bedroom window, coming down in sheets. rain blew in from a different direction once and it entered a tiny crack in the dryer exhaust.... right inbetween the floors and caused a bedroom ceiling leak in the 2nd floor. i can go on and on ... i have tons of videos i'll post when i'm clear of this place lol.

dishwasher hose should go up to bottom of counter top and back down, but even then, without an "air-gap" it will/can back siphon... they all have a "rubber-flap/check-valve" now. so it shouldn't reverse stink water lol, maybe a lump of junk stuck in there or chinesium garbage rubber :)) on second thought why even dump them into the garbage disposal anymore, put them into a common dishware extension/tail piece fitting on the other sink bowl and install dual traps, one for disposal and one for regular basket strainer bowl >_>

Property I work at has been having water heaters leaking all over the place lately. We started installing these floodstops in our units on makereadys and replacements to help with that issue.
