In my county we have an organization that will dismantle your house or barn or other structure and even save the nails for reuse or recycling!

We saved as much of the wood and nails as possible. A lot of barns here in Canada you have to pay the owners to dismantle.

Did you or did not build the barn again somewhere else exactly how it was before? Thank you.
@DylanAdamsYoutube Жыл бұрын
Any wood that was in good enough condition was detailed and stacked for future projects. the home owner was having a metal building built in the same place and needed the building gone ASAP. thanks for watching !

How much did you do this for or were you charged or you had to pay all together I have a break down similar to this and a build up which will obviously be an upgrade
@DylanAdamsYoutube Жыл бұрын
This isn't something we do normally. The home owner needed the barn gone to replace it with a steel building. We didn't charge anything but we took all the materials and have been selling them off to cover labour and machine rentals. This was mostly a random project for the experience. Thanks for watching

@@DylanAdamsKZbincan I ask how many man hours it took? I need to do the same thing
@DylanAdamsYoutube2 ай бұрын
@@abc-ed1nr It took the 2 of us about 10 working days to dismantle. We took a lot longer than most would as it's not something we normally do and we were trying to save as much of the lumber as possible. Thanks for watching!

I liked it until you just yanked down the frame with a tractor, that's not dismantling

After we had most of the extrerior striped we found a lot of the structure was rotted. The property owner needed the barn gone asap as he was having a new one built. He was the one who pulled it down.
@TheMjthomas19882 жыл бұрын
How long did that take you? Thanks
@DylanAdamsYoutube2 жыл бұрын
I took the two of us about 10 days. Having the lift and tractor helped a lot.
@LanceJennings-o4y9 ай бұрын
nice,, but I do every bit of that,, without a lift !!
@DylanAdamsYoutube9 ай бұрын
This was our first time doing this sort of thing. We were on a time crunch and found the lift very useful. Thanks for watching 👍🏼

@@DylanAdamsKZbin when you pulled the end off did you not break a ton of beams? How did you punch the pegs out of the remaining beams?
@DylanAdamsYoutube2 жыл бұрын
The pegs all snapped and all the beams that weren't rotted through survived. The barn wasn't in great condition, we salvaged what we could but unfortunately a lot of the lower level beams had rot from old hay being stored up there for decades

Why? Old barns are landmarks

Home owner needed it gone for the space to build a new steel building.

My camera work definitely needs some work. That footage was sped up a lot so it makes it a lot worse.
