Disney has big movies on the horizon with Captain America: Brave New World and Snow White with Rachel Zegler. As Anthony Mackie and Rachel Zegler have been causing trouble with comments in interviews, it seems strange to me to blame the fans for actually noticing and talking about the comments that were made. Disney trained the public through content and messaging about what they thought was important, but now it's the audiences fault for remembering? The Hollywood Reporter and others would love to pretend that Disney is just swept up with with public, controlled by forces outside of their control. When really, Disney was like this long before Rachel Zegler and Anthony Mackie. It's just that they never seemed to think they could get away with it. But as Anthony Mackie seemed ashamed of America, it is interesting to see that in the 1990's, Disney wanted to put down the nation even then in their own parks, if they could have gotten away with it. But what do you think of Disney's actions? Let me know your thoughts down below and as always, thanks for watching :)

Polish. Snow White is a Polish story.
@unterdessen882238 минут бұрын
No, it's not. It's based on a historical event involving the Count of Brabant. Brabant is a historical region, that was part of the First German Empire (aka the Holy Roman Empire of German Nations, 800-1806 AD) back in the 13th century, when real Snow White lived. Nowadays it's split between Belgium and the Netherlands. Rachel Zegler is half Polish, the original Snow White was German.
@glennchartrand541116 минут бұрын
@@unterdessen8822 Not historical It's a retelling of a Roman Legend about Chione (Greek for "Snow") She was so beautiful that Apollo disguised himself as a crone so that he could approach , drug , and then force himself on her. When he kissed her goodbye , it woke her up and she realized what happened Diana in a fit of jealousy about Chione being more beautiful than her , shot Chione in the mouth with an arrow. The Poles adapted the story into its basic form and Germans re-adapted it again.
@unterdessen88223 минут бұрын
It is LITERALLY an adaptation of an actual historical event, that involves the real life historical figure of Albertus Magnus, who lived in Cologne/Germany at that time. On his way to a church council he stopped in Brabant and helped out the Count of Brabant (who is the evil stepmother's father). The original account is from a chronicle, and in that story the evil stepmother was the main character. I can give you a link to that text, but you'll need a good translation app, because it's written in historical German.

'DISNEY can't escape the culture wars'...since they were actually one of the major players in starting the wars, and continuing the wars, it's not surprising at all that they can't escape them...Disney is Looney Tunes, without the humor...when they 'drop a piano from 10 stories up' on someone's head, it's always aimed at the head of a relatively normal person...they don't realize that they are Wylie Coyote and Wylie's blind allegiance to the Ajax brand or far-left ideology is misplaced and the Baby Grand (prize?) is actually coming their way... they're now in the soup and they now are left with only 'chop sticks' while eating their well deserved prize...

I remeber the blow blow up at Disney in '90. Nobody was a fan for a while, it took years for people to forget how angry they were at the company...

Actually at least Mackie was honest... This version of the Captain DOES NOT represent America

Disney complaining that people are pissed at them wading into the culture war is like the little brother who teases the older mercilessly until the older brother slugs him - and then complains to mom and dad that big brother hit him. They deserve no mercy with regard to going woke and I shall not give them any. If they make a good movie, I'll pay for it - eventually, once it's proven to actually be good and not poison dressed up to look tasty.

O yea, a Disney version of the Vietnam war. Sure that would have gone over great with kids.

So how is the movie faring? Frankly I have nothing against the actor. He was holding his own as falcon but then given cap's shield, insinuendo to become cap America and that entire shittery DEI, cancel culture, terrible writing and sometimes dialogues just does not help the actor unfotunately. Personally I ll not spend a dime on this film because the whole bag of ugliness Deisney carries, said they were changing course but proved nothing.

I'd like to tell Anthony Mackie: "Hey, if America is so embarrassing (and it currently is) then you should have passed on this gig.

Disney is so anchored in California that they don't realize that elsewhere these stances are controversial.

This is what? The 14th time that we've heard this same blatantly obvious lie from Disney? Yea, hope everyone is looking forward to Pixar's next animated film about illegal alien felon being seen through a sympathy lens, lolol

Warner Brothers/Discovery when they merged said concerning CNN that there was a new sheriff in town and they'd try to be in middle. They cut the top 2 suits for playing slap and tickle, dumped Lemon, Cumo + Stelter and never changed a thing. Stelter does time in the wilderness (Harvard and being an on stage host at the WEF in Davos) and comes back. This time around it's "See we dumped Acosta".
