I’m in the south but still quite a ways from Florida unfortunately😢 my best tips are to find an airport near you with a flight where the dates fall on a $200 (ish) round trip ticket, then plan your trip around those dates. And the more friends you bring along = the less expensive your share of the resort is. Resorts absolutely eat up a majority of the trip cost unfortunately but they are WORTH IT. Especially if you go on a group trip with 4 + people, you can end up only personally paying even just $45/night (depending on which resort you stay at of course)
