Regarding past starpaths- create a 'vault' in scrooge's place. We earn tokens (somehow), and can spend it in the vault. The vault houses old star path content. If you are someone who has all star path stuff, the tokens can be converted to moonstones similar to starpath tokens.

Maybe you get one token at the end of the star path to spend on one previous star path item or maybe they bundle in tokens with moonstone purchases. You need to take into account that people have paid moonstone for the previous star paths so it is not fair to make them cost less moonstone/be able to be obtained completely free/easily :)

belle's dress is from the actual movie, it's one of the first scenes where her and beast are connecting. she wears this dress and winter cloak to feed birds with beast in the snow and they end up having a snowball fight! :)

I was originally on the side that they shouldn’t have access to those because then it feels like the ones who had paid for foundation packs were being slightly screwed over, and I don’t see then centennial stuff coming back. However, I think if the past star path stuff has to be paid individually (for big pieces maybe groups for smaller stuff) in premium shops it might be more balanced that way because the star paths offer much more for cheaper price then buying each item individually in premium. But I could be wrong

Lets put those items in a shop where you can pay with moonstones. I started the game after christmas last year and i am dying for some halloweenitems en christmas items from last year. I agree. It's only fair to charge moonstones for the items themselves when the rest of us had to spend them in the star path. I'd say for maximum fairness, put all the items from a given star path in a single bundle and charge 2500 moonstones per bundle, the price of a Premium Star Path

Maybe they could add the old star paths as bundles like they have the extra quests for Wall-E and Ursula. Give the option to choose a star path to buy with moonstones, and then they can work the tasks to earn tickets and get the items just like we did originally. Either that or add the items to the premium shop.

I think they should run a few polls or something to find the most popular/wanted items from those paths, and then use those answers to create bundles for the premium shop. Each bundle could have 4-5 items, and cost like 3K moonstones. That way, the OG players still got the best deal because they got EVERYTHING for the same price, and they got to enjoy the items for a year longer than new players.

I think they should incorporate all the Star Paths the way that they do the Dream Bundles. They could just have them listed for players to choose from at any time. So, essentially you can choose which Star Path you want to play. If you've already played a Star Path you don't get to "replay" it but it also doesn't take time away from new Star Paths for players who have already played old ones. Basically, the Dream Bundles aren't time-locked (you can buy them any time and there isn't a time limit for finishing them) I think the Star Paths should exist the same way, especially now that free-to-play isn't happening there should definitely be a way for new players to get access to the premium Star Path items they might have missed out on without it affecting older players. I also think it makes sense that you can only play one Star Path at a time, so you have to finish a Star Path completely before you can start another. The reason I think this is fair is because you still have to pay the moonstones every other player has had to pay, and you still have the grind the Star Path the same way everyone else did to get the items. It's also still nice for players who have completed every Star Path because they wouldn't have to choose between the new Star Path and an older one. I don't see how this would be detrimental/unfair to any players, or why the DDV team would be opposed to it, I think it would encourage people to play the game more (or buy more moonstones honestly) without it affecting those who have been diligent at it or who started the game early on. If you think about it, if you're fast at the Star Paths, you would have more play options between updates if you haven't completed all the Star Paths. For someone like me who takes every single day of the Star Path to complete them lol (between work and school commitments I can't play as often so the Star Paths are hard for me haha) I would definitely have to pick and choose XD.

For the previous Starpaths, maybe they could add them as a bundle like they did with the Wall-E and Ursula bundle. I missed the Disney Parks starpath and kick myself everyday for it lol. As far as Playstation crossover, I have internal knowledge of Sony. They are adamantly opposed to sharing their database due to previous problems with breaches in their system. It will take a lot for them to agree to crossover or cross platform games although if they're pressured enough, they may look to find a way.

If that's actually Sony's reason, that's pretty disappointing. I mean, I'm sure there's ways around it that don't hurt the players as much - They should just invest more money into cyber-security. And if they're so oddment against allowing multiplayer cross-play, then at least allow us to transfer our save over to other platform. Even if it's not a back-and-forth cross-play but a one time move, that'd be better than nothing. I'd even take having decorate my valley all over again, if I could just keep my moonstones and premium items. But atm it just feels like I'm being held hostage to stay on PS if I want to keep everything I've paid for..

12:55: Personally, I like harvesting crops…but I HATE planting and watering them. Whenever there is a heavy downpour, I grab my nearest gardener and head straight to the pumpkin patch. Cause, at least, there is a chance the rain will last until I’m done replanting…so I don’t have to do the dreaded watering.😬 (Also, when harvesting, I ❤ there being a chance to get that light-up effect 💥 that allows me to quickly pick up to 10 more pumpkins…which then means I’ll get up to 10 more from my assistant, as well.)

They definitely said in official statements that they would never lock main story updates/content or characters behind a paywall. Personally I'm actually happy the game isn't going FTP, and I have no problem paying for expansions (it's like no one grew playing the sims...) but them going back on the promise of no paywalls does leave a bad taste in my mouth. It would've been better for them to have never said that but I get why they did.

I would love to be able to do the old star paths that I missed. I think they would have a LOT of players buying the paths for Moonstones. I think it could look like this: The old star paths cost 4000 Moonstones. You can only have one star path active at once, and you can activate them and deactivate at any time and work on them at your leisure. They could take out the Moonstone rewards from the old paths to incentivize you keeping up with the current ones!

My Idea, in regards to the old star past once you finish the new star path you have an option to unlock the old one of that season if you haven't completed it. Or a message pops up saying 'you have not completed this (old star path) would you like to complete it with the last remaining days you have left.

I think the 5th character in the DLC is going to be Flynn Rider! They showed him as a character in the new coin game during the live stream so that feels like confirmation to me!

I think when it comes to the star paths they should bring them out as like DLC packs like for example a Pixar Star pack DLC and then the villains star path DLC kind of scenario you know I mean like they could probably charge about maybe 25 bucks a piece or so per pack and on top of that it will make Disney more because it will give newer players a chance to get what older players were given except they could just buy it directly instead of worrying about redoing star paths all over

With how they mentioned they wouldn’t be bringing them back as early release would only have access I actually like this idea it would give newer players the chance to play the star path without lessening the experience for those who were told it was exclusive maybe not 25 tho that’s about the same as the expansion which for what your actually getting seems a bit pricey maybe closer to 15-20 with 20 being that it comes with enough moonstones (and maybe some left over 😜 for us to spend) to unlock the full star path

About the “chapter 2 still being free” that you mentioned around 4:14. I think there is a lot of confusion about that due to the end credits when we finished the Forgotten Story Quest because they had showed the slight cave art of the new isles and Jafar’s silhouette which made everyone, or nearly everyone, believe that Chapter 2 is what we are shown in the DLC. I don’t think they should have shown in the official end credits because of that.

And quite technically it’s not “free”, since we bought the game, and since new players will also have to buy it… maybe a better way to say it is that chapter 2 will be part of the current main game and not cost extra beyond the initial purchase, whereas the optional expands is paid content.

As someone that only missed one star path, I honestly don't see why they couldn't bring those items back to new players. They could put a bundle in the premium shop with the price of what the base star path cost to unlock, since technically we got most of our moonstones back from unlocking the star path while the new players wouldn't be able to unlock those moonstones, they would have to spend more moonstones to get the past items. I really love anything halloween/dark themed so I really wish I could get the first star path items. I didn't know the game existed at the time.

PlayStation player here. PlayStation Plus just means we have access to Online multiplayer. Whether that is exclusively against other PS users or crossplay. However PlayStation has very strict rules regarding crossplay. I remember I think it was Minecraft a few years ago were struggling to gain crossplay rights, we finally got it but it’s real tough if a big game like Minecraft were struggling..

You don’t actually get free moonstones though - if you paid 2,500 moonstones for it you get 2,000 back, but I think they should make the whole previous starpaths available for purchase - they could make them like the bundles and you pay 2,500 to do the starpath

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I farm a lot in the game and it does get a little obnoxious having to water the crops again and if your farming something like Canola or Pumpkins you have to water it again, also if your like in a rush to go to work/school whatever the reason maybe, having the watering machine is going to change the game a whole bunch and make a great impact to farmers!

(That, AND when making the 5 ingredient berry salad, the constant adding of the last 2 ingredients is soooo annoying.) I don’t think older Starpaths should replace getting a new one because like you said we will always have new players so it wouldn’t be fair to older players, but since the game didn’t go ftp no one can say “I paid to play the game early and newer players shouldn’t get the starpaths” any longer. Maybe a 2nd starpath each update that’s an older one and rotate them like the premium shop or just stack them like the bundles for players to buy and play? I’d definitely pay for a 2nd starpath for the few I missed and think that there’s so many items that everyone should have (like the amusement park rides) because they’re such great decorations. Also Oswald is called “The Lucky Rabbit” - he is Walt’s first character and regained popularity when Disney got the rights back and they made the game Epic Mickey so I’m thinking it’s him, but the game likes to surprise us so who knows? Can’t wait for December 5th!🎉

I would like to have access to the previous star path items. It’s also good for players who played the star path but missed one or two items. I think the best way would either be to sell them individually in the premium shop, OR have the old star paths run alongside the new ones. So if you’ve already finished it no biggie you just play the current Christmas one for example, but if you are new you still have to play the old star path to get the items as well as the new ones? I think those are the most fair options

The old star paths could be activated by paying the moon stones, very similar to the Wall.e or Vanessa bundles, it's simple, if they want to do it, there is a way... so those like me who would like to do the old star paths will be able activate them by paying with moon stones, I think it's fantastic!

I can think of a couple of ways to bring back starpath items for newer plays can be done in a couple of ways. (1) They can be sold as bundles that cost the same amount of moonstones as buying the starpath+100 tokens but the moonstone rewards are taken out of the starpath, (2) the older star paths can be toggled on when someone wants to complete one and will cost the same as they did when they were originally active with all of the same rewards including the moonstones, or the most technical option (3) the star paths come back but older players are able to earn a different set of rewards than new players. New players get the original starpath and can access the rewards that the older players get after they have collected all of the older rewards.

So from reading the blog you get the following: Purchases of the Expansion Pass are platform-specific, meaning that players should ensure they purchase the pass for their primary platform to ensure they are able to easily access all the content it has to offer. For Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift In Time, players will only be able to access Eternity Isle - the new world introduced in this expansion - on the platform they have bought the Expansion Pass for. Some other content from the expansion - including use of the new Royal Tool, Dreamlight Duties, items, characters and more - can still be enjoyed by Expansion Pass owners on other platforms where they own the game but not the Expansion Pass.

Easy, premium shop, 2-4k moonstones gets the star path items from the previous year for that season. I.e. winter star path last year available Dec 5 for moonstones.

Maybe I'm just petty, but I dont think ANY of the past starpath items should be available to new players. Buying the game months into early access, after you've been able to see the gameplay, isn't the same risk as buying the game on the first day. But the white space jacket was supposed to be an exclusive item and they've already made it in purple for everyone to collect, which I thought they werent supposed to do either, so I wouldn't be surprised if they make star path items available now too, I just hope it at least has a higher fee or task requirement than it originally had 🤷‍♀️

Regarding old star paths, i used to play a game Love Nikki that had events running almost constantly (maybe just a few days off at a time) and would run a new event and and old event alternating. So if it followed this model, the old star paths would be between new updates. If you already completed the Starpaths, you wouldn't have to participate. If you previously didn't finish, it saved your progress. It made the path more expensive the second time around to encourage people not to wait. While this is not perfect, it would allow everyone a shot at the old stuff.

Yes they should be obtainable.......after you finish the current star path there would be a page 7 where you could pick 1 additional star path if you wished. If they allowed the 1 additional path after finishing the current star path, all would be able to get all star path items even if it took another year or so for the new players to get those items.

player's who missed them should have an opportunity to use moonstones to unlock previous star paths. Temtem does this thing were previous payed member tamer passes can be bought for items cosmetics they missed and are unlocked via in game currency. i think if ddlv did something similar to this then newer players could obtain those items on a rotation of star paths.

Cross-platform play on PlayStation is possible, but Gameloft would have to pay PlayStation for it to work. We don’t know how much PlayStation charges, and we don’t know if it’s monthly/yearly or a one-time thing, but it’s assumably very expensive if they haven’t done it already. My guess is that there simply aren’t enough PlayStation users for it to be worth it. Edit: PlayStation Plus isn’t required for cross-platform play, but it is required for online multiplayer. The same goes for Xbox Live Gold and Nintendo Switch Online.

I think people (myself included) really think that the lucky character is Oswald because he’s known as Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and he’s not that much older than Mickey so if Mickey could be turned into a model for the game, so could Oswald

Oswald is a more obscure character and I would like to see him get more love and recognition. - Reguarding the previous starpath items, someone mentioned the idea of Scrooge having a vault with special tokens that you can trade for items (or moonstones if you already own everything). I know it's wasn't a starpath item but I just really want the candy croc! 😭

I see the the old Star Paths as early adopter perks - we were there from the beginning, so we got those items. I think if old star paths are made available that the path should be unlockable with Moonstones, but the player should still have to do the work to get all the items.

In summary they created a Second Game with it's own 'Valley', that includes a second Chez Remmy, Goofys and Scrooge Store; it's own Characters (that includes ones repeatedly teased in the 'first' Game); and own story (Act 2 cleaved from the first game)! BUT a Secong game that you HAVE to have purchaed the first game in order to play.

Once you’ve collected everything from a star path u can trade tokens for 90 moonstones per ten tokens so you can collect more moonstones

idea for the old star path, they can make it like in Halo. make paths without timewall and people can buy old paths and chose the one they want to complete first (not 2 at the same time) thats way those who complete already would get a new star path and those who dont just buy old one. the ps thing is more about sony, the devs need to pay extra and in this case they didnt agree on something :D

I'm so excited about the idea of Oswald! He's the cutest of the old style mickey mouse characters. I think his character will look good in the valley, if they do his character design similar to how it was in the Epic Mickey games

So for the cost of, say, a couple of fast food meals, you'd be getting new biomes, new items, new characters, new plot, new quests, and more. I'd say $30 is more than worth it.

As for PlayStation, you would need PS+ to play multiplayer online with other PS players (and get cloud save). But it's between Sony and Gameloft why we can't cross save/play with other consoles. I assume GL doesn't want to pay the fee to so. There are games that do allow it, like Multiversus.

Re: cross platform - I use both my switch and my PC (Microsoft store download). I have 702 unique items and 3900 items placed. So far, no issues switching from one to the other, using “save to cloud”. No glitches logging into either one, and retrieving my last save.

I think that old Star Path items should periodically be available in the Premium Shop. I missed some items I really want. This seams fair to the people who completed the previous star paths.

Just as an explanation. PS Plus is what you pay for to play Online Multiplayer. And when it comes to Sony and Cross-Save. I think the main reason that Devs have trouble with Cross-Save for PlayStation is because Sony does not want people switching platforms and losing revenue so their a bit selfish on that front. But luckily some games do have PlayStation Cross-Save so we can only hope.

I have been playing for about 9 months from what I recall, and the only star path I had done is the most recent one in the game! I didn’t know what they was before so never brought them. I think it would be a good idea to bring them in between updates, we we are getting an update for the next 3 seasons and the star path only lasts about roughly 2 months, they could bring the previous ones back for the final month before the new update (hope this makes sense) then it doesn’t disrupt the people who have already done it! X

I am so excited for the expansion, no issues paying with all the amazing content we get! With the previous star paths, I would say either premium shop or the star path bundle option for moonstones… What if the automated sprinkler actually speeds up harvest time?

They should bring back starpaths in a limited way, even if it's free to play. Like pay a handful of starcoins to access one path of your choice for a two week period or so. It's a model ive seen before that is great for filling time between new starpaths

I agree about getting the characters to do the farming and harvesting for you. But also, getting the other jobs done too, mining, foraging etc, would be awesome too. It would free you up to work on the story lines, and remove some of the grinding, which makes the game a bit laborious, especially if you don’t get a lot of time to play due to real life commitments.
