I found a true bonus limit for farming, mining and other professions in DISNEY Dreamlight Valley. Do not exceed this villager limit on each profession, or you'll be wasting your buddy bonus in DISNEY Dreamlight Valley.

Why are we stuck making everyone farmers/gardeners,minners,fishers,foragers or diggers why not other professions like cooking,crafting…etc… other professions that aren’t fishers-miners espeically If the limit is 6 for certain ones to get the 100% bonus extras. After we get to 6 for one profession we shouldn’t be allowed to go over 6 unless we are allowed to go over 6 but still give us some new professions to use to choose from

I have 10 lvl 10 farmers and I get at least 1 extra pumpkin per pumpkin but that's not all. I have a 600 pumpkin patch and I get at least 2000 pumpkins per harvest (without the golden bonus pumpkins). So basically I don't only gain 1 extra pumpkin per pumpkin (which would give me 1200 total). Harvesting all 600 pumpkins and collecting the bonus pumpkins then selling them all always gives me around 1.9 million coins. So I would say the more lvl 10 gardening buddies the better.

For what it's worth, I had 5 farming buddies at level 10 for a very long time. I didn't get 100% bonus drops with 5. I added Woody as a farmer last week and I do get 100% with 6 farmers.

Maybe it's a 19% bonus per friend for some reason? That would be 19x5 = 95%. So it looks like 5 is giving 100% but 6 actually gets you to the 100% threshold.

Yes, your observation is correct. 5 is not enough. And having 6 or more will not be a waste because you start getting double drops. Keep an eye out and you might notice them!

I had 5 maxed out farmers. I didn't get 100%. It was close, but out of 100 crops, I'd miss out on a couple. Once I got a 6th farmer, I now get a bonus each time.

Can confirm 5 Foragers gets an extra fruit or berry every single time as I just tested it with having 5 Foragers

I have 5 farmers at level 10 and I don't get a drop with every crop, so it's not 100%. I have 5 miners and I do get a bonus drop of 100%. I also have 5 fishers but I don't fish a lot so I haven't tested it out, I'll try to do that next time I play. I think I went from 2 to 3 diggers with this update and I noticed the drop rate was a lot better, but still not great with only 3 diggers. I'm not too worried about digging and foraging though. Coal has been my biggest problem since the update and I mined for iron A LOT before the update. A little bit of cooking and the coal was all gone and now I'm back to the mining grind, I hate it. I think the bonus rate will be adjusted down as they add characters, I don't think we'll get 5 extra drops when they have 40+ characters.

great valley btw and yeah i thought it was 5 to and now this brings up my point of they need to introduce a way to change professions cause if we are only in early access and who knows how many more characters this game will have over the course of its life span it begs the question just how many numbers are we gonna go over the limit

Thanks for your research! Another variable is whether the buddy is highest level - every buddy should be level 10.

Here's my idea - I think it's different number of villagers for each profession depending on how important it is, maybe 🤔 Increasing the number of villagers for the same bonus or increasing the drops for adding more villagers won't make sense after a point I think it's better to either add villagers but not give the ability to hangout with they - like Ariel or Give them special bonuses. Example- a bonus for farming just Pumpkins or catching fish in a specific biome. So it'll take more villagers to max out everything but also won't bottle neck your progress

I can confirm that I have had 5 fishers for a while, They are all level 10 And I have restarted many times and, I definitely Do Not receive 100% drop rate unfortunately. With 5 farmers I get just under 100% duplication. I've been monitoring a small patch of 50 pumpkins, and I came out with anywhere between 101 and 150 However (and I wonder if people are factoring this in), each time I've had atleast one plant that allowed me to rapid harvest or spawn extra temporary pumpkins. The last batch came to 101 pumkins with a chance temporary spawn. I was able to collect all of them which was a total 7 pumpkins. So given there aren't any chance bonus pumpkins, the batch of 50 gave me a total of 93 on its own with 5 gardening buddies.

I have 8 farming buddies and when they drop something sometimes it's a +1 and sometimes it's a +2, I do get a drop every time too!

I have 5 max characters for farming and mining. I always get another full harvest from them for farming, and always get extra drop from mining.

With stitch I have 5 maxed out fishers now. I still don't get 100% extra drops. It feels like it's almost there but you need that one more villager to get a drop every time.

5 is also not enough for fishing. My buddy missed about 1 for every 18-20 fish caught *Edit: Upon fully completing my 5th fisherman's level 10 quest, it appears to be 100% now. Friendship level alone was not enough 😅

Or maybe the bonus won't be adjusted and instead the hanging out will simply be a way to gain and maintain friendship if they add friendship drop mechanics.

Hello. I have exactly 5 farming buddies but I'm not getting 100% with them. I have plots of 30 and get 25 back from each buddy not including the mini game bonus. My mining buddy count is also at 5 and I get an extra of the last thing mined for every mining spot.

I got 6 mining buddies. I found out that we actually can get a double bonus from the buddy. It takes between 4 and 11 mining rocks

5 level 10 farmers will not get a 100% drop. I have 200 pumpkins and got 94% return. (I did not farm the glowing bonus pumpkins to make sure it would only be 1 for 1)

I would just like to note, that I do get a +2 drop from my miners. I'll have to check to see how many miners I have. But at times they'll give me 2 extra gems instead of 1. It is however quite rare.

Yes, I've seen this too, but only when I got my 6th miner at 10. I have 7 farmers and I notice a higher frequency of double drops. I imagine it keeps scaling, but we can't know for sure until we get more villagers. This video is just wrong.

Update, I have Stitch as my 5th mining companion. I'm getting one drop each time I mine with him, and here's the interesting part : he's only level 5! The fifth companion doesn't even need to be level 10 to get a drop every time!

So I have 7 mining buddies and some times (not all the time) My buddy would drop 2 items instead of one. Wonder if this also happens with 5 buddies. If not, then 5 is not the maximum amount.

(copy pasted) i have like 7 gardening buddies i was using gardening because it was the easiest for me to level them up and i recently decided to harvest my pumpkins 1 at a time and i would get 2 every so often so it does give you extra and when i first watched your video i was using the fence method so i had figured that they stacked somehow but they don't so you do get extras i assume if you have more then 6 or 7 buddies i don't know how often it is i don't know how much you can make it triple technically maybe if you have 12 to 15 its technically tripled but i figured id comment to tell you that you do get extras though unless its just a weird thing with pumpkins(also i have 5 (edit:6 i forgot about muai) miners as well and only 4 are leveled up completely and im getting a item every time the other 2 miners are at level 6 and 7 sooo take that as you will)

I have 7 miners I get an extra almost every time. Probably like 95% of the time. For fishing I have 6 I get it about 90%. There are still times with those I don't get something sometimes. I have 4 farmers and I get extra about 85% of the time. But yeah with 7 on miner I don't always get one. There are times I don't. With 6 on fishing I still have times I don't. So I don't think this is accurate. At least not on Xbox.

Don't get me wrong with 7 miners it is very close to 100% but it still isn't. It does make up for this though. Because with 7 I do also occasionally get a +2 instead of +1 at close to the same rate in which I don't get anything. But there are times nothing drops.

Put her legs on and if she is above level 2 it will ask you what you want her to help you with...

My aerial is at level 10 and it will not allow me to add a profession to her. It just keeps saying down there and she hast to be at level two. But she’s at level 10 and I can assign anything to her.

It did that for me too but if I remember correct, I changed her form from the collection menu to her human form and I think it gave me the option to give her a role then. But that is if I remember correct lol. Maybe give her a gift afterward ^_^;

This information is not correct! Please rectify this as a mid-sized creator. You can't waste the buddy bonus as it doesn't cap at 100%! It keeps increasing. You will notice once you pass 6 (at least in mining and farming) that you can get more than one bonus drop. I have personally witnessed this and so have many others. Additionally, 5 is NOT enough to guarantee 100%. If your sample size was larger, you would have noticed this.

The game itself states that your bonus drops increase the more characters you have in that profession. Hit B on PC when you have a buddy with you and you will see it.

This isn't a popular answer, but I think the truth of it is that there simply aren't going to be that many more villagers. We know that the achievement for building homes is for thirty, and we're already nearly there. The game launches officially next year and it could launch early 2023 instead of late 2023, and if there were 30-35 villagers (to account for the ones that already had homes, since the achievement is for building homes) then the limit of 5 for each bonus makes sense. The devs have already talked about their paid expansion plans, so it's likely at a certain point we'll have multiple villages and each village would have different characters and thus the bonuses would start over for each DLC.
