It's the planned ending of that characters run. See the staff ready to collect them and it happens at the end of the song. All land in the same spot. The boat goes over to that spot that has no guests. These are intentional landings. Not crashes

I don't think this show is bad in theory...just poorly executed. The Kites are pretty, the Music slaps hard, and the cast members are full of life and energy. I think the biggest problem is that this stadium is WAY too small for a show like this. because of the space you can't have that many kites so it looks underwhelming, and it's just too cluttered with way too many spots to crash into. If something like this was done at World Showcase Lagoon or something, it'd work much better.

Adding more kites in any size area would add more risk to the operators and the kites themselves and would also cause people to be further away from the kites

It's still astonishing to me that they decided to sadly deflate the balloons on stage. They couldn't at least deflate them, oh, I dunno, backstage somewhere? The same place they inflated them maybe? Seems like bad show.
