Lorcana got me back into TCGs heavy. I am really happy with the state of the game now, I play weekly at my LGS and it’s always well attended. Product is definitely more available now and I hope that it brings even more people into the game. Very excited for the new set to come out next month. The starters are great, I have all 5 starters in a box and use it to teach the game to people. If you want to play the game casually it’s not as expensive as people perceive and the staters are perfect for that.

Love it. I feel like it replaces Magic for me...as my husband will play with me. It is quick and has enough depth to keep me interested. My husband and I have been playing. I haven't found it expensive. Our Local game store doesn't mark up as well as our local Target. Also, with the recent restock/reprint we have found more and more out there in Michigan.

Over 200 plays of Lorcana at FLGS and at home with the family. Not to mention all the plays on Pixelborn that I don't track. Hard part is trying to manage my time to play both Lorcana and board games.

My first TCG - the lure of Disney was too hard to resist for a 90s kid 😂. Australia still doesn't have stock (licencing issue they are working through) but hopefully its accessible here and it will hopefully be the first game I'm willing to go to my local and play weekly with! The lure of collecting it all is a negative though as with all LCGs 😬, going to be too expensive given the time between sets (and it's great to see the starters being playable and keeping that option cheap!)

We've been playing it a whole with our kids (9 & 11). We go to weekly league nights. We're having a blast and will keep watching videos you make on it. It's nice to see DT spend a little time on it. Disney Afternoon cards in the set have me super pumped

I'm not sure how Ravensburger will handle constant expansion sets. This has always been the weak link in TCG's. The rush to keep up a steady flow of new content always seems to create rules conflicts and problems with interaction between old and new cards.

And now the third set is introducing a new type of card, and we don't even have comprehensive rules yet. Should be interesting

@@rooster5man That is two sides of the same thing. The reason the full rules haven't been published yet is presumably because those take up Locations which come in Chapter 3. I think we will get the full rules as Chapter 3 is released, or as part of the revelations before Chapter 3 is released.

My son got the first three starter decks for Christmas. We played and it was fun! The game is definitely a little too pricey to jump to deep into since we're not too interested in the collectible factor. We'll probably just keep picking up some of the starter decks a d a few singles here and there.

It’s kitchen table for me, but, it’s been a lot of fun with my daughter. My brother is more of the meta deck player and it’s been fun to try out those.

Our family is loving it. Just playing with the 5 starter decks and some cheap singles to deck build with. Not interested in the expensive cards because all the decks we make seem pretty even now.

I am able to get decks at $16 Msrp pretty regularly at my flgs. Expensive? I tried to buy Last Light and my flgs only had the deluxe at $180!!

It's my first TCG and love it. MTG is too intimidating to get in to. This is perfect for my family. We play constructed league each week and enjoy the meta decks as well as messing around with different ink combos on Pixelborn. Looking forward to Chapter 3 and how location cards are going to change strategies.

Magic is such a difficult teach when someone has no experience with card games. Like LoR I feel there's less "choices" you're going to make that will swing the game back in your favor, but for me it makes them feel So important. My boyfriend is learning and He's seeing Exactly what he did wrong each time or he'll do it right and win cause I made his deck Much better than mine. He loves it. I love it. Eventually maybe he'll want to try magic or other card games with more *points where you can win the game. But Here, he's learning about playing on curve, how to think ahead, how to build a deck and none of it is too overwhelming. It is way too expensive and way WAY too inaccessible. I really hope that gets fixed because i think there's really something here. Would love to see more Lorcana videos as the sets come out, thanks Roy!

mtg is crazy easy to teach, just start with mana base and creatures with fewer abilities and then just go from each new encounter

Oh gosh I wouldn't say these were evenly matched at all... the dwarf deck is so freaking powerful! I've now played that deck 6 times against this other deck with different players and won. (That's not me bragging as I am not very good at gaming), but I feel like the resist deck is too slow and clunky.

The IP is without a doubt the allure here, but the game itself is just ok for now. It's not bad but nothing special about it. There are much more fun games that are better economically, has a great theme and has a deep strategy mechanic. One of them is called Netrunner. The theme is not for everyone, but if you want a really good game, try it out.

TCG's need to go the way of the dodo... there's no other word you can use but 'predatory' these days. It's a real world loot box and the fact Disney's name is all over it this time around makes it even worse. Lorcana as a LCG I'd invest my money in but in this form... it just makes me so mad they went this route.

@@pierrewhite2062 Well... yes, throw them out too. Seems obvious really as it's the same predatory formula. I'd have a slightly different view if the singles were a set price, available from an official seller brand new and rarity wasn't a thing but even then it doesn't eliminate the gambling aspect of picking up a booster pack and hoping you get what you need/want. CCG's/collectable cards are designed to play into the fact that humans get a thrill from gambling. It's as simple as that really and the fact that I've just listed ways that the CCG model could be eliminated tells you all you need to know. That's before you even get into the debate of whether we should be pushing a gambling mechanic onto kids...

Oh look, more stuff to be hoarded by scalpers and resold at 3-4 times the original price. I'm not willing to camp out all night to get a game, and I'm not willing to pay eBay prices, so even though I'm a huge Disney fan who only wanted this game to collect the cards, I'll never own it. Oh well, that leaves hundreds of dollars for something else. 😎

Plenty of availability at MSRP where I'm at. 2nd set scalpers were practically non-existant even right after launch. 🤷🏼‍♂️
