This song is just too beautiful! Honestly I really love the scenes from Pocahontas you chose, because unfortunately they’re sad ones which fits the melancholy vibe of this song. Also really cute to see Roger and Anita from 101 Dalmatians included, considering they’re almost never in Disney videos

People nowadays like to bash on Disney couples because of how "unrealistic" they are. They're always like "that doesn't happen in real life." My answer to that is because they're fairy tales, so of course the circumstances are farfetched. But you know what? Sift through all the magic and the sugar and the musical numbers and you have a very simple story that spans the generations, the story of love conquering all, the belief that one person's love for another can be stronger than all the darkness and evil that exist in the world. Love can happen anywhere at any time to anyone by any means (which DOES happen in real life). That is what makes Disney fairy tales awesome. P. S. - Thanks for including Roger and Anita; I feel like they don't get enough attention. ;)

I mean Pocahontas got criticized because of a bunch of stupid history nerds and Native American descendants. I’m actually a 1/4 Native American myself and Pocahontas and John Smith are my favorite couple! I didn’t get to watch it until I was older, but I actually had a kid’s book about the real Pocahontas so I already knew it wasn’t historically accurate. I’d rather be in love with 2 characters who knew they were supposed to hate each other just because they came from different worlds, but it’s because of their differences that’s why they fell in love with each other. Their love managed to stop a damn war for crying out loud. And the fact he had the choice to let her father be killed instead but didn’t hesitate even for a second to sacrifice himself just screamed how much he changed and truly loved her. How the f*ck Pocahontas chose Rolfe over him is beyond me
