The Fox and the Hound is my favorite Disney movie and I love the DMC exclusive Blu-ray/DVD/Digital art cover As a fan of The Fox and the Hound, I collect different copies of that movie (such a the Gold Collection DVD, the 25th Anniversary DVD, the 30th anniversary Blu-ray/DVD edition and the 2017 Blu-ray that has the Disney 100 Years slipcover) and in my opinion, the DMC exclusive edition is my favorite❤️

I believe Blackbeards Ghost was late 60s. I remember seeing it with 101 Dalmatians. My first movie going experience.📽🍿🙂

Great recommendations buddy. Flight of the Navigator received a 4K restored Blu-ray by Second Sight in UK in 2017 in a limited edition box set. Now it's available on a standard edition.

I still have to see The Haunted Mansion movies. I haven't seen either version. I had an old LP as a kid that was like a full length story of The Haunted Mansion and included scenes from the ride and a bunch of teenagers entering the mansion. I remember that Ron Howard voiced the main character. It had very cool sound effects. I need to check to see because I'm sure someone has added that to KZbin. That was my favorite ride when I was at Disney a couple times in my youth, along with Peter Pan's Flight and Mr. Toad's Wild Ride (which is something else these days).

Those old LPs were gold! Just to hear the needle pops on the vinyl, and to let your imagination run wild with the story that is unfolding in your mind. Those were definitely great times!

I wasn't a DMC member, but was able to get Flight of the Navigator, and Mighty Joe Young off of Amazon and Ebay on blu ray. I have no idea if Sony will re-release them with the new physical media deal, but I didn't want to wait and miss out, in case they weren't.

That’s the smart way to do it if you are only looking for certain titles. eBay is probably the best place to track titles down. You can see pictures of the movies and also see if it has the slipcover, booklet, etc.

I hate to admit this, but I spent $300 on a dvd once just to complete a collection. It probably wasn’t one of my smartest purchases, but desperate times call for desperate measures. I can say that I would probably not do that again.

This may be quite a bombshell but, Disney Movie Club exclusive titles are actually available at Walmart stores and Disney Movie Insiders!

Well yes, and no. Movie club exclusives were only available to Disney movie club members and could only be purchased directly from the website. Only recently, since the announcement of the end of the movie club, have a small amount of member titles been sold to retailers.

Great collection Todd. I would love to have Black Hole, Dr Syn, Watcher in the Woods & Return to Oz on blu-ray but so difficult and pricey to get if you're not a member. Living in England I haven't been able to join.

🙏🙏Hey Todd. I remember not very long ago when you told me that the Disney Movie Club is shutting, that is really terrible news. First, greetings to Hanna & Heidi👋. Here we go. It has been years since I have seen any of those 101 Dalmatians. Hey, Alice in Wonderland. Oh really, that is an Exclusive. I really enjoyed Aristocats also. Aladdin also is an Exclusive, really? The two back of the Aladdin sequels and oh yes that is right - the title is Disney Movie Club Exclusive. Fantasia in a triple back, nice. Beauty & the Beast, Aladdin, and of course The Little Mermaid are my top three classic favorites, although I still loved those other animated stuff from the 90s. Bambi sequel & Cars. I've seen Cars one time. Oh cool, 4 Xmas classic films with the remake of Miracle on 34th. I still liked the original quite a bit more, but Attenborough (or however way it is spelled) did a great job in the role. Okay, Elemental, I may see it, but I heard it has WOKE stuff in it? It is only what I heard so I could be wrong. Something about one of the character in there identifies as gender 'neutral'. Oh wow, you have newer stuff in there mixed in, like that Haunted Mansion remake. Ah, the Home Alone two pack, loved those, wish I could go back to that early period. Haha, Christmas in the Ice Age period. That would be interesting to see. Great covers on the Jungle Book originals. I kind of like that white one. Okay, so Lightyear has some more of that WOKE agenda, but I will not say. Yup the live action of Little Mermaid. Yes, I have seen those two Little Mermaid sequels and enjoyed those. I still need to actually finish Mandalorian. Only seen the first episode. Mulan, another teenage / young adult classic. Awesome goth classic, The Nighmare Before Christmas. That's cool that it has a sort of texture to it, and glows in the dark. Hocus Pocus was great and to be quite honest, that sequel was decent as well. Beautiful artwork on that Peter Pan! Return to Neverland is great as well & I feel it sort of goes un-noticed now. But it brought a tear to my eye at the end. I also loved The Santa Clause trilogy & Tim Allen is great indeed. Another classic art with that Snow White, oh wow! The Sword in the Stone, okay I always say The Sword and the Stone hahaha. Oh and a classic artwork cover for that one as well. But yes, I put that under my Sword & Sorcery fantasy category of course, just like Conan. Turning Red, another newer one I might need to see. Oh yes there is a sequel to Wreck-It-Ralph, but no the Turning Red is not it. Both those Wreck-It are good though. Okay so next batch with the yellow spines. I LOVE The Black Cauldron. The Black Hole, another awesome one indeed (Maximillian Schell: "Take the young lady to the hospital". Cracks me up everytime). Oh no worries, wasn't totally into those Herbie flicks back in the day myself, but I didn't dislike them either. To be quite honest, a sort of 'guilty pleasure' for me would be that much newer one of those, Herbie Fully Loaded, starring Lindsay Lohan hahah. But to be quite honest, it was a good one. The Witch Mountain flicks are actually pretty good in retrospect. Watching them now, I really appreciate them. Yeah I remember watching that Flight of the Navigator quite a few times back as a child. I must see that one again, maybe even get it. Okay, so the transfer on that one is not so good, darn. I lvoed those A Goofy Movie films, both of them. Yes, heartfelt indeed. Yeah the first one is still better, but the more I see that Extremely Goofy one, the more I like it. Hell yes, 20,000 League, Absent Minded, two super fantastic ones. Got a whale of a tale to tell you lads, a whale of a tale that's true. Bout the flappin fish and the girls I loved, on nights like this with the moon above. A whale of a tale and it's all true I swear by my Tattoo. Apple Dumpling maybe I should see. I like Don Knots. And Blackbeard Ghost as well since I love the Pirates franchise starring Johnny. I'm a fan of pirates haha. Oh yeah, absolutely love the Johnny Carson show back in the day. The Last Flight of Noah's Ark, really? A young Ricky, interesting. Melody Time, hey! Those ones you can do without, I still would not mind owing even if I've either never seen them, or didn't like as much. Here is why...they are just classic and took place and made during a bygone era. So it's better to have them and not need them, then the other way around. Same here about films and stories like Old Yellow. I have Marley & Me, yet did not see. Hey Return to Oz. Yeah I found that one a bit 'scary' as well, but I liked it. Three Calobero's nice. Something Wicked is fantastic, same goes for Watcher in the Woods. I think that is Disney? I actually have never seen Son of Flubber, only original. Wow, a young Kurt Russell. Fantastic, Swiss Family, love that. Yup, another excellent pirate film. THERE WE GO! Watcher in the Woods, it is Disney. I saw that in the Philippines, if you can believe that. That is one I'd actually like to own if possible. That is childhood classic of mine, that Watcher in the Woods. Ducktales yeah! Oh okay, so volume 4 only available thru the Club. I know this will be shocking, but I never actually got into the Darkwing Duck back in the day. I would watch Ducktales, then skip the rest like that Darkwing, Talespin, Goof Troop (despite the fact that later in the future I would love both Goofy Movies). And we end it with a Coyote film haha, cool. Great booklet showcasing other titles from the Club, I like that. Oh Ducktales the Movie. That's Treasure of the Lost Lamp, something like that. Hahaha, no love for Whoopi. Yeah, I don't really have any other recommendations that you already have or own haha. In fact, you have given me ideas😁. In any case my friend, thanks for this great showcase. Oh wait, okay so the Club ends May? So I wonder if I can quickly join and grab a few of those exclusives I might one, such as that Watcher in the Woods for sure. Thank you again, Todd.
