For sure. They weren't all masterpieces but back then you had a variety of movies to choose from. Now Hollywood films are all about superhero multiverses and franchise reboots that will sell merchandise. Not much originality or willingness to release new projects anymore.

in a lot of ways i could relate to beaver i discovered the movie when i was 6 years old and just like him i was almost alone bullied a lot and it's hard to explain why but this movie helped me a lot during my childhood

LOL, This was filmed in my town, Santa Paula. Right on Main Street. Too bad they got rid of the big trees and added new things. :( This is also a few blocks away from the building that Joe Dirt goes into when he wants to find out if his Asteroid is an actual asteroid. LOL

I remember seeing this movie as a kid. That's how I become a huge fan of Leave it to Beaver. Looking back, I'm surprised that Tony Dow and Jerry Mathers didn't make a special cameo in the film. At least Barbara Billingsly, Ken Osmond, and Frank Bank appeared. That's always been a real treat.

The kid who played beaver actually auditioned for the role of anakin Skywalker in the phantom menace. Could you imagine casting that cute little guy instead of Jake Loyd? Would have been a better choice in my opinion.

Theodore is his real name. When his older brother Wally was young, he probably couldn't say "Theodore" properly when Beaver was born, so he said Beaver instead. And the name stuck.

Strangely enough, my brain associates this particular scene to a persistent sadness in my childhood. Something about being mentally overpowered by the bullies and getting yourself alone and stuck in such an odd trap... is all so weird and melancholic, even though it's a comedy.

I love this movie. I wounder what ever happened to Cameron Finley, who played the Beaver. He had a role as Tanner Sloan on Baywatch but only a few titles after that ending in 2000. This movie is great though not many great remakes of old tv shows, the Honeymooners is a perfect example.
