I work at the front desk of the Boardwalk resort and you missed showing my favorite part of the lobby! You missed showing the scale model carousel that's encased in glass. It sits just under the elctrochandelier! It comes to life every 40 minutes or so and lights up and plays music while it spins around. I love on a quiet day hearing it start up and kids running up to it to watch it play. Hands down best part of our lobby. (Well, second best. #1 in my heart is Lucy the elephant that sits on top of the fireplace mantel.)

So the funniest story I have about the boardwalk is we always go there to walk around because of the ambiance. One time I was using the restrooms out by the pool and as I go in I start to hear a commotion from the gentleman that I passed inside the restroom. I'm doing my business and I hear him begin to panic and yell oh my God we're trapped we're trapped in this bathroom what are we going to do. And me from the stall I simply say "pull on the door." And the gentleman pulled on the door and said "oh thank God"....... I think that's a really funny story.

I am a DVC owner at Boardwalk. LOVE IT. You can see Illuminations really well from the bridge, if you sit on a bench directly facing Yacht and Beach Club, you can see all of the high fireworks over at the Magic Kingdom, and if you stand at the wedding gazebo by the bridge, you can see the Star Wars fireworks over at Hollywood Studios. Can't think of anywhere else on property where you can see all the the shows in such a small space. Thanks for the tours and the great videos!

The flip flap was one of the first looping coasters. It had no restraints so people just shoved themselves in the car with others. This combined with the fact that the loop was a perfect circle (instead of a modern day oval) ultimately caused it to fail. I guess you could say that the Flip Flap flopped!

I scarcely dare dream of EVER going anywhere near one of these handsome resorts, on my budget... But, out of all of them, I think this one appears to be the most elegant and beautiful. I love what I've seen of the others, in your video tours covering them. The theming of some of them, especially. But, there's just something about Boardwalk, via this video tour, that pushes it head and shoulders above the rest, to me. Just, wow.

We are definitely NOT a 1%. We save and save - sometimes even years to go to a long weekend vacation. Greedpublican? You mean when we get to keep our own tax money - our own money - that we earn - that we can funnel back into the economy and keep it running - that is some how considered greed? Stop and think about that. I would have to be making $400,000 or more per year (according to google). Heck, I don't even KNOW anyone personally who makes that kind of money.

Well I find the cabins in Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds very quiet and peaceful. You do not even have to worry about someone stomping around above you. But the property is really huge. The cons are you either have to rent a golf cart or learn the internal bus schedule and which one goes to where you want to go that day. The other con is automobile traffic is restricted to entering, going to your cabin or campsite and exiting.

Stayed in the club level rooms on my honeymoon. We had a "lake view" situated right above the bakery. The smellizer, didn't bother us. It was so quiet in the mornings and so alive at nights. Great sound proofing though despite what you heard, Tim. Never heard the crowds out our windows at night, and the fireworks sounded like they were extremely far away and not around the corner. Club level also had a community room for food and coffee. We had access to the balcony to watch and hear Illuminations. I recommend staying at The Boardwalk 100 percent! There is also the mini golf course within walking distance past the Dualing Pianos and dance club.

My wife and I totally stayed in a room with that exact court yard with the side pool 2 years ago for our honeymoon. Our room was on the opposite side of being able to see the fireworks, so I’m not sure if you had a second floor room facing Epcot if you could see much. However, during a couple of evenings we were in the hot tub/pool as the show was going on at Epcot. You couldn’t see much at all beyond ambient light... which was cool... but you could hear and basically feel quite a bit. It just made for a cool experience and was a fun little perk for what was already a great experience!

The seahorses chandelier is supposed to be king Neptune's horses. Since neptune/posideon was the roman/greek God of the sea. The myths say that he created the seahorses to pull his chariot through and under the ocean. The mirrors help to capture the sunlight to brighten the room. They also give the illusion of a grander space. The architecture is supposed to be modeled after Atlantic city boardwalk hotels.

The creepy doll chairs are called Nanny chairs. They were on the original carousel for the Nannies and moms to sit on while the kids rode the horses. They have 4 of them at Boardwalk. The 2 by the fireplace are males and there are 2 more down the hall, and they each have names on the back which are supposedly the names of the imagineers that worked on the Boardwalk Inn. Thanks for the awesome videos! Staying at Boardwalk in 45 days!

Some of the boardwalk resort area is based off of my home town of Cape May, NJ. Pretty neat knowing that. I was always amazed at how many people knew about Cape May when I worked at Disney once they saw it on my name tag. Had some good convo's about it with people from all over the country. That was before they made the Boardwalk Resort. It's pretty cool that they're honoring the oldest seaside resort in America and I'm happy to call it home.

JustinSteereMusic I’m from U.K. and have been to Cape May. Beautiful place, if crazy expensive and the only place in the world I’ve been where they wanted to charge me for walking on the beach. I wondered where all the NJ tax dollars were going! I’d dispute it’s the oldest seaside resort in the world though. We have some here in U.K. that were frequented by the Romans!
@JustinSteereMusic

Wildwood is a free beach though so that's not too far from Cape May, most people locally go to Wildwood even though it's not the nicest place anymore. There's also some free beach spots in Cape May to avoid crowds as well if you know where you're going. Even locals have to pay for Beach Tags in Cape May. It goes towards cleaning the beaches etc. It can be really expensive depending on where you want to eat and stay. Cape May is actually the oldest seaside resort in America. Not in the world. Meant to say "One of the oldest".

I love your work Tim. You really should try a tour of Boardwalk at night. It has a different energy when it has people on it

Tim, we stayed at BW about a month after it opened. That was sort of before the DVC took over that side of the resort. We stayed on the third or fourth floor in an efficiency room. My daughter loved yelling hello to people walking below on the BW. You could see the fireworks from our balcony over the BW.

My friend and her family spent their Disney vacation at the Boardwalk for a week for 12K! She said that it was worth it because the Boardwalk was located between Epcot and Hollywood. At that price, she had an excellent nightly view of the Illumination fireworks show.

Oh Tim, you have to do JellyRolls. I'm from the UK and it's a must-visit every time we're there. Some of the best nights I've had on Disney property have been in there - great fun!

Because I only get to go for a couple of weeks every few years..... so I'm not wasting the time while I'm there. Plus they have this magical nectar that allows you to keep going - it's called Beer.

The huge garbage can is specially designed to hold a full pizza box from the pizza window. You’ll only find those within the pizza window section. Actually a really nice design.

Love watching your videos with my 12 year old son. You missed one of our favorite items at the Boardwalk Resort. Over the fireplace is an elephant called Lucy. She is a replica of a famous location in Margate, NJ. We have visited Lucy many times, since my son was obsessed when he was little. She is a huge elephant that you can go inside. She is right on the beach near Atlantic City, NJ.

Tim and Jenn: if you guys haven't already, I feel like you need a trip to the North East coast, Coney Island (and other NYC beaches in Queens and Brooklyn) and then Atlantic City. That's where they get the theming for this resort, I'm sure.
