I love that area. I always stay at the Beach Club when I run the marathon and I love that you can walk around and see SO much in that area. I'll have to give Boardwalk Resort a shot sometime. BTW, now that you are running, you should run the marathon! It's a great goal to set, a wonderful 1st marathon for runners because of all of the characters and entertainment, and a must for Disney fans. Id be happy to do some miles with you as well (always a good plan to run with others in marathons to distract and to motivate). Thanks for another great video

The Boardwalk’s in the top 5 for me - always a fun time and so much to do, especially in the evening! Used to always walk over to the ESPN Club from Epcot to watch the Pats game on my vacations, hope they open back up soon!

We stayed in the garden rooms at Boardwalk in February once and it was so cold and rainy. We spent most of the week at EPCOT. It was the only time we ever turned on heat in our room. It was awesome! Kyle, keep the beard. You can always grow it back but you wear a beard very well.

Trying to find a DVC room at Boardwalk or Beach Club at the 7th month mark is like an intense episode of the Hunger Games!! It is beautiful, though! Glad they let you park!

For the parking, I know this is a bit of the long way, but maybe park at Disney Springs and use one of the buses for the resorts from there or walk/ boat for the resorts close to Disney Springs like Saratoga Springs or Old Key West.

My aunt and uncle got married at the Boardwalk wedding pavilion 15 years ago. I was 10 at the time, but remember the experience and magic like it was yesterday. Super cool experience, especially since I did not have to foot the bill. I can only imagine how expensive it would be today.

They stopped me as well from parking my car and not being a guess, but I got an Lyft to take me in a resort and I was able to ride Disney bus, boat, skyliners, and monorail to everything. Or you can park at Disney Spring and take the bus to most places.

I pulled in an extra shift at the Boardwalk Bakery during my CP a few years ago. It was a fun, chill place to pull in an extra shift. I thought it would have been a good place to transfer to.

Atlantic City is the inspiration for the Boardwalk Resort. But not today’s AC, it’s actually based on the 1940’s-50’s.

Living in NJ and having the REAL BOARDWALKS (Atlantic City, Ocean City, Asbury Park, Wildwood), it is fun to see how Disney Imagineers brought the NJ Shore (we say "Jersey Shore", not "beach") to Orlando. Oh, and I think you should shave the beard! You can always grow it back. I went 5 days without shaving one week and it was so gray, my husband forced me to shave it off. It sucks getting "old and gray", literally.

They started shutting down “resort hopping” (at least driving between them) when COVID ramped up. We just park at Springs and use all the transport methods to bounce around.

Those weird chairs in the lobby are from a carousel. They are called,"Nanny Chairs". It was popular in the 19th century, children would ride the horses on the carousel and the nannies or adults would sit in the still chairs. Great video! I have been wanting to see this hotel in detail. Thanks! Oh and YES shave your beard! Just once so we can see you without it. It's easy enough to grow back.

@@ktpaladino I could only do the first five days initially then had to call back a week later just because I was only permitted to book the first few days on the first day of the 7 month timeframe but other than that, I didn’t have any issues. I. Years past, I could never get availability so I usually make my initial reservation at my home resort so at least I know I have a place to stay at the time I want. We just got lucky this time.

I heard they are updating the rooms at Bay Lake Towers. Some of the rooms. Boardwalk is very pretty . Reminds me of parts of old NYC/ Coney Island and the Jersey shore. I remember your stay here . There’s no continuity with parking. Four weeks ago I was sent to AoA from World of Disney because I wanted a sweatshirt and the CM said they were at Art of Animation. Mind you, I was staying at Saratoga and I own three DVC memberships, but the security guard didn’t want to let us park for five minutes. After I explained a CM sent us there he was like, “I’ll make an exception...” Truly ridiculous.

I stayed one night at boardwalk as a guest of my friend who had room for us. I liked it well enough but wasnt thrilled with food options. I don't eat alot for breakfast and the choices were not great. It might have changed since then though...

The resorts charge their guests to park so unless you have a reservation to eat or "need" to be there they don't just let anyone park there. Also, because of the free transportation to the parks from the resorts if they let just anyone park at the resorts people would take advantage of this and not pay to park at the actual parks and they would take up parking from the actual paying resort guests. This is one of the reasons they do not run transportation from Disney Springs to the parks either.
