It's funny how we all have a different scale when it comes to Disney food, most of the things we eat there would never be on our list anywhere else but we lower our standards to the point where it's somewhat ok, but only there. I think deep inside we want them to succeed, Disney is part of our childhood and we all have a soft spot for that. For me it's so prevalent I can't even imagine that food outside the parks, I guess it's an integral part of the experience.

So, some insight into the pastries in Norway. The tortilla like thing you had is called a Lefse. Its a potato tortilla with butter, cinnamon and sugar. very traditional in norway. School bread is not like banana bread. just a sweet bun filled with vanilla custard and toasted coconut shavings on top. traditionally there wouldnt be custard inside, just on top, and the bun would be more flat. but taste wise its pretty accurate. I havent had "verdens beste" yet, since the boarders are closed, but im happy that you seem to like it, its a traditional cake in norway. The rice cream is commenly eaten for dessert on christmas eve. havent tried the apple cake either, but it seems very americanized

Please visit the TX State Fair at Fair Park and try the fair foods. I always get a turkey leg from the giant smokers but recently moved out to WA state. This way I can live through your video! 😅
@lexbrennan73863 жыл бұрын
Welcome to the PNW! I haven't been to TX State Fair in years, but if you're craving a giant turkey leg that tastes like Thanksgiving had a baby with a backyard BBQ, try BBQ Pete's turkey legs at the Puyallup Fair if they make it back this year. There's always a few trucks selling turkey legs, but Pete's is the best. If they're not there, just mop up your tears with a Fishers scone (with jam) and search for a Krusty Pup.

You should come to Montreal one day for a food tour! Poutine, tortiète, smoked meat, queue de castor, pudding chômeur, and maple flavoured etc galore!

Every time I see a food review from the scandinavian part I cry inside. The food doesn't even look like what you'd get here in Norway at least.

Before Covid I remember it being so great. I haven't been back since but I've seen a lot of youtubers who have gone after covid and the food quality went downhill. They had to change up menus as they did not have access to the same ingredients as before. Hopefully, it goes back or improves :/
