@@operativethisistheway6384 Depends on the theme park. Independent parks that know they have to stay in good standing with the locals to stay afloat usually have decent food, if not out-of-this-world good. Yeah, it's always going to be overpriced, but that's the nature of the beast.

It's funny how we all have a different scale when it comes to Disney food, most of the things we eat there would never be on our list anywhere else but we lower our standards to the point where it's somewhat ok, but only there. I think deep inside we want them to succeed, Disney is part of our childhood and we all have a soft spot for that. For me it's so prevalent I can't even imagine that food outside the parks, I guess it's an integral part of the experience.

7:06 Mikey, that's lefsa, a Norwegian potato flatbread. When it's made right, it's flakey, tender, and surprisingly neutral, able to work with either sweet or savory treatments. I once stuffed lefsa with a homemade apple caramel, and that was pretty good. I've also dipped in gravy, which is kind of amazing. Works nice with curry, too.

The beauty of Epcot is where else can you drink/eat around the world, go to space, and see fireworks all in one day? And you can't help but appreciate the details of each pavilion. China and Morocco are my favorites when it comes to design. China's is just so beautiful to look at, like you can easily tell the Imagineers did their research. Also, 10:08 isn't modeled after the Forbidden City but rather the Temple of Heaven. Which is still in Beijing

As a huge disney person with an annual pass its hard for me to watch this... especially when Mike misses the poutine IT WAS LITERALLY RIGHT BEHIND HIM!!!! (they sell it at discovery port I think its called), also always eat the festival food because its way better!!! School bread for lyfe as well!!! But yeah missed a bunch of really good stuff!

He went in with a Disney Hate hard on. They could have served wagyu and he would have shit on it. This is the first time I’ve ever felt disappointed in one of his videos. An adult man worried about COVID in Disney without kids and then complaining about kids activities and the crowds? He had no intention of liking any of it :(

I was honestly surprised he went back. He did a video a couple years ago reviewing the more popular foods and was about the same as here, just hated the whole thing. I love Mike, but I have to agree it feels like he came in already wanting to hate it all.

So, some insight into the pastries in Norway. The tortilla like thing you had is called a Lefse. Its a potato tortilla with butter, cinnamon and sugar. very traditional in norway. School bread is not like banana bread. just a sweet bun filled with vanilla custard and toasted coconut shavings on top. traditionally there wouldnt be custard inside, just on top, and the bun would be more flat. but taste wise its pretty accurate. I havent had "verdens beste" yet, since the boarders are closed, but im happy that you seem to like it, its a traditional cake in norway. The rice cream is commenly eaten for dessert on christmas eve. havent tried the apple cake either, but it seems very americanized

That tortilla type thing is lefse (leff-sah)! It's a Norwegian (obviously lol) potato flatbread. It's made on a big flat griddle, you flatten the dough with a special rolling pin, and use special long wooden sticks to flip it! Usually you top it with butter and cinnamon but it can be enjoyed savory. My family makes it for special occasions and it's a really great bonding experience.

Welcome to the PNW! I haven't been to TX State Fair in years, but if you're craving a giant turkey leg that tastes like Thanksgiving had a baby with a backyard BBQ, try BBQ Pete's turkey legs at the Puyallup Fair if they make it back this year. There's always a few trucks selling turkey legs, but Pete's is the best. If they're not there, just mop up your tears with a Fishers scone (with jam) and search for a Krusty Pup.
