Disney's Flying Fish Restaurant Review Dining with Traveler Friends | Dsney's Boardwalk Resort

Hello Travelers and welcome to our table at Disney's Flying Fish Restaurant located on the Boardwalk at Disney's Boardwalk Resort. We were joined by Heidi and Kevin, a few members of our Traveler Family, to try the newly reopened Flying Fish! We had a great time and were able to wish them Bon Voyage, as they were getting ready to depart on Disney's Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser at Walt Disney World. We will meet up with them later in the week for their experience aboard the Halcyon and much anticipated Starcruise.
We are excited to share our experience at Flying Fish and hope you enjoy as much as we did! We continue to send our thanks to all of our Traveler Family for traveling along with us and we hope to see you Wednesday for their full report on their take of the Starcruise! @@TravelingAroundDisney When I reach for a snack watching videos, I'll grab a slice or two of cheese and/or a slice or two of cold cuts. Sometimes I'll actually put them together and make a sandwich. Growing up, cheese was considered a "healthy snack" when compared to candies, cookies, chips, etc. When I'd head for the cookie/candy drawer, my Mom would stop me and tell me to have a slice of cheese!!

Hi Michelle and Todd, great video! So glad you enjoyed the Flying Fish! That is one of our favorite restaurants on property, before and after the renovation. We miss Chef Tim Keating though. He is the one who brought the Char-crust NY Strip to the menu. They used to have a surf and turf with potato wrapped snapper added. Rudy he does their risotto is also a great Cast Member. Not sure if he came back after the closure. Take Care ❤

ps. Not sure if this was the vlog where Todd mentioned the large statues that he wished he bought. We did the same thing. We used to walk by them at the Screendoor Store on the Boardwalk while on vacation and say how we should get one... never did. They were about $150 at that time, which sure sounds like a bargain.

Juls I will have to say we ate there like 4 years ago and just didn’t see the hype. This trip how ever was fantastic and honestly we can’t wait to go back. I’m so glad Flying Fish is still a go-to for special events. Their seafood dishes, especially the scallops, were always on the must order list. Y’all are adorable and I love your food reviews. We have this restaurant booked in October 2022. We are so excited to eat there. Based on your and Pete Werner’s review we are definitely ordering the pork belly. And based on your review, I’ll try the shrimp cocktail which I never choose. Denice the first time we tried this location we did not enjoy at all, this time was a complete 180. The food was fantastic and Michelle’s steak was incredible. Love California Grill since I work at the contemporary. I do hope they go back to some of there old dishes wants the celebration is over. Storybook food is amazing. Still need to get back to Jiko since reopening.

Great video. First, Flying Fish is on my hit list. That steak looked soooo good. Good happy ending with that amazing dessert. To top if off, Kevin's watch was a nice item to share. Flying Fish is our fave signature restaurant! We love that silver ware and that potato bread. We all get the NY strip there. So odd since it's a fish restaurant, but that is our fave steak on property, only we order it with the filet accompaniments. The 50 th dessert was just ok for us. We split it in 4 so everyone just had a bite. I ate the meringue stick. lol. We had the cocoa breach pre-pandemic. It was quite the presentation, and we enjoyed, but no need to order again as I really ordered just to see the magic. We do have reservations in April and I can't wait to go again, but I was lucky enough to go the week it opened again.

We can’t wait to go back to try something different and to get that goat cheese cheesecake it had such a great flavor. of my very favorite places to eat! You were deciding what to order for appetizers and I was yelling at my screen "GET THE PORK BELLY!!!!" I'm sorry you didn't like the bisque, but I am happy that you were able to switch and get another one. And you chose the best one. It is probably one of the best things I have ever eaten. It's been a few years since I've been there. The last time we were there, they had squid ink pasta with lobster. It was AH-MAZING! Unfortunately, they don't have it anymore. The steak is on my list. Good description on the Lobster Bisque, as the fancier Bisques seem to taste more like a gravy or a “deep base” as you described it. 🤢 I love the more traditional Bisque flavor too. The Seafood Pearl Pasta is what I would love to try. p.s. I guess besides straws, you have to start packing back-up silverware. 🤣😂
