I’m with you Jackie! My favorite is dark chocolate as well. Although, I wouldn’t say no to regular chocolate. It’s so impressive to see the amount of craftsmanship that goes into the making of those gingerbread houses. It gives you a greater appreciation for what the witch built in Hansel and Gretel. And why the children thought it looked so yummy.

Nighttime at Disney is extra magical with all the lights. I always enjoy this time of year when it starts earlier so you can have more of it! I was a Disneyland cast member in the 80s, and in the off-season, the park was only open 10am-6pm. I always felt bad for the people who came in September and early October. When the time change hit, they finally got a taste of Disney nights on the short days when it got dark around 5.

I love the pins, magnet & t-shirt!! What a treasure! Can’t believe it’s the 25th Anniversary! One year we drove to every resort (when the parking was free) and bought each dated Christmas Resort pin (2018). Disney’s Riviera Resort wasn’t open yet. I have them all displayed in my Christmas pin book, the original 3 ring binders with the black, felt, 3 hole punched inserts. If only I had known better to keep the pretty Christmas themed backer cards, but I threw them all away! As a bonus that year, I also bought the gingerbread house dated pins for 2018 (sold at Grand Floridian, Contemporary, Boardwalk, Yacht Club/Beach Club and the American pavilion at EPCOT). Lastly, I bought the beautifully framed Limited Edition of 500 6 pin Christmas collection, dated 2018 from the Emporium at the Magic Kingdom during the MNSSHP. I went all out that year as it was my very first Christmas in Disney World. Of course I bought the Annual Passholder 2018 Christmas pin and some random non-dated Christmas pins from the pin store at Disney Springs. To this day, they’re the only Disney (Christmas) pins i’ve ever owned. I can’t justify buying any more lol. Excellent video, Jackie! Love the cake and the oven at the top of the gingerbread house. So cute!

It is such a tradition for our family. We go every year Thanksgiving week and always LOVE to resort hop to see all the decor and eat some shingles at the GF! Though...Jackie...you needed a hot cocoa in the other hand! Can't wait to be there in 2 weeks! ❤ Another great vid Jackie!

Love, love, love going to see the gingerbread house. Been going since 2006. Not sure how I missed the first 7 years, lol. We also try to get pictures in front of the tree. Loving the new merchandise. I like dark chocolate the best as well, and dislike white chocolate, which is not even really chocolate. I love gingerbread and would probably like the shingles the best. Every year I make ginger cookies when I make my Christmas cookies to give away. I make about 5 other varieties of cookies each year. We used to go to Disney World around 1999-2003 but I don't remember going to the Grand Floridian to see the gingerbread house. My husband dislikes lines, so that is probably why we never went at that time. We used to wander around all the resorts and our favorite was the Wilderness Lodge where we sat in front of the fire. We never stayed on property except once when we splurged to go to All Stars Music. Since we lived in Apopka we most always just drove home or stayed in Kissimmee.

Every year I buy these cookies, every year I am disappointed. Little flavor, dry and hard. It looks like you enjoyed it though. But for the price I think I will just enjoy the decor and save my money to shop in the stores instead.

Oh no! Do u get the shingle w dark chocolate? That has never been hard in all my years of eating them! It’s always soft and chewy like I showed! But anyways it’s fun to just enjoy it, even without eating or buying anything. I’ve just never ever had a hard shingle (which is the one I recommend) so I’m shocked! Maybe u get a different cookie than what I get?
