In the 80s&!90s you could ride right in the front cab with the driver!! We did it many many times with our kids. It was so absolutely amazing!!!😜👍❤️

Yes I remember riding in the cab with the driver on the monorail. It was always the highlight of my son’s birthday trip. We have many pictures and memories of it. They would give us the driver license too and stickers. We were sorry to see that go away when there was an accident on the monorail.

@@debbiewestphal4291 14 years ago on july 5 2009 monorail purple was at a standstill at 2am when monorail pink reversed at full speed on the same track. The protruding nose and the driver’s cab of both trains were crushed. Monorail pink’s momentum pushed the two trains back killing monorail’s purple pilot on impact. He was 21 years old. His name was Austin. RIP This was very sad and after that is when they stopped letting people sit up front. 😢

The Grand Floridian is so Grand!!! What a wonderful place for a wedding. You and Shaun were so fancy in your swimwear and then your wedding outfits. I liked the added getting dressed piece. Thank you so much for showing the full fourth of July fireworks over the castle lit up in red white and blue! It was fantastic! For all of us too old or unable to make it to fireworks. You must try to get to the Boston fireworks set to the music of the Boston Symphony Orchestra! over the Charles River in Boston. A Bucket list must do. And lunch at the famous Cheers bar!

Loved this! My husband and I had a Disney fairytale wedding 20 years ago this past March. Back then we were able to ride in the front of the monorail and our photographer rode with us and we have wedding pictures in the front car!

They used to let people ride in the front of the monorail it was kind of a secret thing, but literally all you had to do was ask and they'd let you. I got to do it a few times.
