Mahalo for sharing. The beauty of the hula can be done while sitting too. Use your hands to follow all the movements - this is called a "noho" (sitting) hula. You could also try your foot motions by sitting at the edge of a chair. Hope this helps you in your recovery🌺

Aloha Saoka, I'm sorry to hear that you were in an accident. I'm not sure if hula will benefit or hinder your healing injury. It would be best to check with your doctor. It could hurt if your posture in wrong, which I hard for me to help you since we are not in a live class. Just remember to not stick you pelvic back to far, keeping a straight line in your back and pelvis. And yes, it's better to learn the footwork first. But if you find that dancing is becoming hurtful, you can simply sit (either on your knees or in a chair) and do a "noho hula" (sitting hula) but just using your hands. Where are you located? Is there hula there?

Hi! I am Suzi, and I come from Europe, to be exact from Poland. I am so mesmerized by Hula Dancers and whole art of Hula. I read once that, you cannot learn Hula by yourself, only in special school, with a teacher. Am I even allowed to try dancing along with your videos? Have you tried my other warm-up video "HOW TO HULA - BASICS STEPS WITH THE BROTHERS CAZIMERO'S " ALOHA E KOHALA" - HULA WARMUP?" This is another good one. One tip I have if you're trying to start on one of the choreographed hula, is to use one video per week to memorize before moving onto the second one. I hope this helps. Keep up the efforts!

Find a friend to make it fun! But ultimately, learn the basic steps then practice a lot until you feel more comfortable. Hula isn’t learned overnight, rather consistent dedication to love and learn. Hope this helps!
