When I was a little girl in the 70's, I remember the Diamond Horseshoe had can can girls that danced on the stage like a saloon. The Country Bear Jamboree and Hall of Presidents were cutting edge technology at that time. Awesome memories of the sky buckets going across the park as well.

Eating and critiquing the hot dogs. :) In all my visits to WDW, I never once ever ate in Diamond Horseshoe - don't even really remember it ever being open, and I've never been inside. All I know is Ethel M is a chocolate company out of Las Vegas, don't quote me. Ethel Merman was a famous actress famous in the 30's to 60's. She had a very distinctive singing voice on Broadway. I remember her on a lot of variety shows in the 60's like Ed Sullivan. You two made my day! I always laugh when you are together, thanks, I needed a good laugh today!! Have a Merry Christmas!

Ethel Merman was "the first lady of musical comedy" on Broadway. She did Gypsy, Anything Goes, Annie Get Your Gun and Hello Dolly. She's the standard that all others are held too when doing those shows nowadays. (Bette Middler/ Bernadette Petters/ Patti Lupone are the modern day equivalents that have done the roles successfully)

Happy Holidays ☃️ We haven't ate at Horseshoe, but we did eat at Liberty Tree and it was the best meal we had in all the meals we ate in Disney, the others were great food to, but Liberty Tree was our favorite. I'm looking forward to riding the Train for the first time on our next vacation. Sadly it wasn't running in 2020 & 2022, which is the only times we been at Disney, so far. Ethel M. Is a small batch chocolate company and factory located just outside Las Vegas. It’s a fun tour and has its own beautiful cactus garden on site. It’s a lot of fun. I believe Ethel M. is a real person named Ethel Mars. Perhaps related to the Mars candy company? ( Not, as I originally thought, named for Lucy’s friend Ethel Mertz.)

Ethel M Is in reference to Mr mars who started M&Ms. Ethel was his wife. And mars still have a division of Ethel M candies. I live in hackettstown NJ which is where they make M&Ms.
