One thing I noticed when we were there the first of Oct. was how difficult it seemed for the characters to have to be distanced from some of the little ones. The little kids seem to understand why, and the cast understands, but you can see that it's hard for them not to be able to give hugs and have the sweet little conversations they normally do with the kids to make the interactions special. It shows how much cast members care about the work they do.

Been there twice, not sure if it’s worth all the time it takes to get around from one park to another?? Just make sure you plan for it!! Just an FYI, I stayed at the Contemporary and Swan hotels, it’s was much more difficult to travel from the Swan. Hope you make it there and have a wonderful experience!!👍👍

If you're a Disneyland girl it may be somewhat disappointing for you at World. We were there a month ago and my cousin was constantly comparing it and not really happy. She felt really disoriented the whole time. Having to deal with that, the heat and humidity, the mask situation, the difficulty of the digital stuff not working correctly, it was all a bit much for her so not as enjoyable as being able to zip around DL with total ease. I didn't mind as I'm living in NC and more acclimated to the weather, didn't compare to DL as much (I act like I'm in a foreign country), had no expectations, and I always cause adventures on her holidays anyway (so I went to one urgent care for a UTI, an ER when I tripped in Hollywood and had 5 stitches in my head, and another ER the next day when I tripped in front of POP Century and broke my collarbone and ankle - so got free ambulance and taxi rides, too! DW provides GREAT emergency medical services!!) Overall it was a good week, but I'd wait until after mask rules are over because it's just not fun for anyone.

We did the Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party when we got to go to WDW a few years ago... Being able to ride the Haunted Mansion, AS the Haunted Mansion, AT Halloween (well, early September) was GLORIOUS.

Us poor unfortunate souls living here in Southern California are living vicariously through you right now! I am pretty darn sure that the news coming today for opening large theme parks here is not going to be good. I'm also waiting for an announcement from Knott's hopefully today or tomorrow for the Merry Farm food festival. It was so good to see the Cadaver Dan's (they dress differently at WDW then they do out here but sing the same arrangements) and all the characters, especially at the end. Enjoy yourself while there Adam as I don't think there's any big rush to get back here.
