I think the game does feel kind of corporate, relying on high quality graphics and well known characters rather than actually being a good game.

I just find it weird how much people seem to hate other kart racing games. The gaming community loves to gaslight people into thinking that other kart racers are bad and the Mario Kart franchise is just some perfect masterpiece and it's insane to me. As much as I love Mario Kart, some of the games in the series are not good. The same people who dislike Disney Speedstorm, Smurfs Kart, Nickelodeon Kart Racers, Chocobo GP, KartRider: Drift, Beach Buggy Racing, The Sonic Kart Trilogy, Dreamworks All-Star Kart Racing, and Lego 2K Drive are the same people who praise Super Mario Kart and Mario Kart 64 to this very day when both games haven't even aged well. Someone did a poll last month asking people if they prefer Mario Kart Tour or Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. Mario Kart Tour ended up winning with 73% of people's votes while CTR Nitro-Fueled only got 27%. I'm sorry, but that's biased asf. How is that game in any way, shape, or form better than Crash Team Racing ? It's safe to assume 73% of those people are boring individuals.
