I always liked this show as a kid, and especially this episode. It was very entertaining when I was a kid, and it still is now. However, what I really enjoy about it is how they portrait children. They play, pull pranks and go to school, but they also show how smart kids actually are. In the scene when TJ overhears his mother on the phone it really shows how worried he is for his friend and also the little hint of guilt. Kids are very underrated, and most of them are smarter than we think.

I love Gus’s dad. He’s so sweet to Gus and supportive of him and his friends. Some dads would have gotten mad at TJ for encouraging Gus to run away but his dad just accepted the information on good faith and went to get his kid and make sure he was okay. Its the first season. the budget was probably low. I know its first season because Andrew Lawrence took over the role of TJ in the 2nd season. His voice isn't used here. But you are right the animation is kind of 3rd rate. ha get it.

Actually, you're wrong. This is season 4. The reason the animation is different is, as with most cartoons, the show went from hand drawn to eletectinc/flash to make production easier and cheaper.
