I like this episode and I like Recess. But... As a Norwegian, I must say that Yope is not a Norwegian name. In fact, I've never even heard of it before, I think it's something they just made up so it would rhyme with "rope". His accent isn't Norwegian either, obviously they were too lazy to do some actual research and just got some American to do a "melodic" accent mixed with Swedish instead. =\ And the rest of him is just a pure stereotype with no root in reality.

As a Norwegian, I find it hillarious when American shows randomly introduce a Norwegian character, names them something that's not even a real name anywhere in the world and portrays Norwegians wildly inaccurately. On the one hand I wonder why they wouldn't even bother to look up a common Norwegian name and some basic info about Norway, but on the other hand why would they? It's not like anyone besides us will know anyway.
