Disney's "Salty, The Hijacked Harbor Seal" Season 19 Ep 10

From Season 19 of Walt Disney's Disneyland Anthology program we have Episode 10: Salty, The Hijacked Harbor Seal which originally aired on December 17th, 1972. Salty is a harbor seal pup born in Drake's Bay, California. Soon after birth he is examined by Dr. Stone, a biologist who is studying the area's seal colonies. In his early days, Salty seldom ventures far from his mother's side, but after he's weaned, he begins to travel further each day in search of adventure. On one of these trips Salty is caught in a fishing boat's nets and the crewman decide to sell him. Their skipper orders them to free the animal as they enter San Francisco Bay, and the confused seal begins to explore the bay. Starring John Waugh as Dr. John Stone, Doug Grey as Joey, Lance Rasmussen as Billy, Bud Sheble as Y.M.C.A. Counselor and Hal Stein as Mr. Hanson.

It is August 3,2023 as I watch this beautiful Story about Salty The Seal..Terrible news swirls about me everywhere in all media forms..So,Thank God for This Great KZbin site where I can go and be reminded of a much simpler and,for me,happier time.

I saw this on VHS at the age of 7 in 1987 with my sister who was 5. Wonderful memories to say the least put a lump in my throat. She and my Mom are both with the Lord now. Love looking back on a nicer time. Thank God we have the memories!
