@It’s a Bunnay It might have to do with the base structure of our primitive economic system. We've got a system that encourages/rewards greed and our best hope under it is to expect everyone with economic power to stop acting greedily "because it's the right thing" even though it was their greed that gave them the wealth and power and they know that if they slow down they will be replaced by someone greedier. @Mario Eskaroos Nuclear energy is an essential part of the solution too! We have safe reactors already being built, and exciting new designs under development, like thorium breeder reactors, that can actually use up all the spent fuel dumped over the last 60+ years, without creating more of their own!

Bertie, thank you for this. Thank you to everyone who made this video possible. The photography is phenomenal, your enthusiasm is infectious, the sea ice is melting, and the time is NOW. We are the stewards of Planet Earth. There will come a time when it will be too late to reverse the damage we have done. What shall we do then? The entire harp seal pup population drowns overnight? Why did that have to happen? My greatest and most heartfelt thanks to you Bertie, for this documentary, and for the love you have for the seals. ✌🏻❤️🦭

I just hope future generations will still be able to see these beautiful creatures that are to be admired and protected. We need to change our ways and do something to help save these animals.
@ellisonmangubat43765 жыл бұрын
Well in my place we regularly do tree plantings, we recycle our household waste like plastics etc., I drive less and usually prefer riding a bike or just walk, and I turn of my electronic devices when I'm not using it. Its simple things but I believe by doing it I am helping these animals as global warming contributes to the harp seal's race against time issue, Now imagine if most of of us or maybe all of us will do the simple things that you know could stop global warming, wouldnt it be a better world for us and these lovely creatures?

@@ellisonmangubat4376 Unfortunately we've reached a point where doing little things isn't enough any more. People need to start doing big things. Every problem on the planet is caused directly by us...the consumer. Everything you want and desire is provided for you by corporations who make those products...your car, your plastic bags, your food, your exotic pet, etc. If you want it and are willing to pay for then you're creating a demand for. The processes involved in producing all of these things is what's killing our planet. There is only one solution to this problem...stop the demand!...and that starts with us. If we don't demand products then companies have no reason to make them. Think about that next time you're about to buy a useless trinket that will just end up sitting on your shelf for a few years then ultimately end up in the garbage. Think about everything you buy and ask yourself what price did the planet have to pay just so you can have useless things in your life.
