Thanks for all your hard work, James! And thank you for mentioning to us that it's important to buy physical disks and support the company rather than pirate them illegally. I don't know if it's just me, but I always tell myself that in a few years, my favorite films will be released in an even better restoration, so I should patiently wait. I did the same thing when the Blu-ray editions were released... That being said, am I wrong about that? Do you think 4k will be the very best there ever be? I hope that makes sense!

🤔As I’ve shared, you should NOT🚫 be waiting to buy these 4K’s💿 a lot of the titles I’ve reviewed over the years are Limited Edition releases & won’t be re-printed so if you keep waiting you can miss out forever on a lot of amazing 4K UltraHD💿 restorations & releases! To answer your other question, yes 4K UltraHD💿 discs are one of the final formats & this is due to what’s called diminishing returns in visual upgrades over 4K because of what the human eye perceives & also because a lot of films are 2K so anything past 4K just doesn’t increase anything visual for those 2K films! But most importantly most STUDIOS themselves have shared these are the last restorations most of these films are going to get due to the cost & return in investments! 💥So to sum this all up, YES you should absolutely be buying & enjoying watching all these “MUST BUY” 4K UltraHD💿 releases, just make sure to support this channel by using the links I share to order each 4K💿 that I post under each video‼️ Hope this helps you out!👌 👍Thanks for your nice comments!😉

Do they all still come with slipcovers or were those limited and gone already by now? Yup, bought this one, Ciderrella, and Loki season 1. Since I want disney to keep restoring and releasing older movies and streaming only shows. I want the option to own a copy on disc. Loki is a bit over priced for what you get but I'll survive.

Great review James! I agree, this is another amazing transfer like Cinderella. I thought the Snow White 4K was overall darker than the Blu-ray but the colors were so much more nuanced. I was blown away. I published my review this morning. I can't wait for Sleeping Beauty and a proper restoration of Sword in the Stone.

You just can't be unkind enough to the many years of disnee's frustrating "work" on their animated films. All of their shot-on-film animated includes unbearable noise reduction. I LOVE the untouched film grain, competent encode and accurate, non-revisionist colors here. They have a long way to go still. I've heard Sleeping Beauty is next, that one is widescreen so might look even MORE impressive than Cinderella/ Snow White. They still need to also go back to Little Mermaid, a horrible noise reduction nightmare that inexplicably got good reviews.

I grew up watching snow white on VHS, watched it countless times and when I watched the blu ray for the first time I thought it looked gorgeous. Now looking at the comparison, the blu ray does look a bit blurry and lacking contrast. If I thought the blu ray looked beautiful, I can't wait to watch the 4k

They’ve already digitally scanned Bambi’s original camera negative for a different type of restoration that was released around the same time that Bambi II premiered in theaters, so it’s totally possible.

One question… Even in the back cover of 2016 signature collection stated that it’s 1.33:1 ratio But I notice that in the 2023 4k restoration, we can see a bid wider of the screen My question is ,the basic blu-ray disk that comes together in the 2023 4k version have the exact same ratio with the 4k disk or not? Because ,I swear to god , i’m sure that there’re a slight difference on both side of the screen. Unfortunately, that probably can’t be done, as it was done with Eastman Color, a process whose negatives preserve poorly. Peter Pan was the studio’s last film made with 3-strip Technicolor.

are there other Disney Animated classics that you have come across are as good in quality as Snow White and Cinderella? from what I have heard it's mainly A nightmare before Christmas, Cinderella and Snow White? if I'm wrong please let me know I'm in the United Kingdom and someone will be taking advantage of the movie club for my benefit before it shuts down, I got a lot of live action movies but no animation because I heard most of them were pore quality

It's too bad that Disney isn't releasing animated movies on 4k here in the Nordics. It would require BD-100 discs to include the additional languages I believe, which I'm 99% certain is the reason why we only get 4k releases where no dub has been done. A Nightmare Before Christmas? Released here of course, like most titles with only subtitles.

I’m not buying this, because I already have the 1994 “Masterpiece” VHS of this movie and the movie itself was unrestored. I love the original unrestored version.
