Keep up the good work, your channel is awesome. I hope Disney will release some of it's 90s cartoons on Bluray or at least remaster them on DVD, since Bob Iger announced they would be going doing more Physical Media, rather than just have it all on streaming. We would probably all love to have Gargoyles, Spider-Man, X-Men etc... all on Blu ray. I look forward to seeing what Media you review next.

I’m a little confused I keep clicking on the link and creating an account with the Disney movie club. But all it does is give me a choice of DVD or Blu-ray it gives me no choice and it says nothing about 4K and I do not want Blu-ray copies again of these. I wonder if the 4K label says Dolby Atmos because Disney planned an Atmos remix, until someone thought it sounded (no pun intended) like overkill. I imagined the Atmos remix sending Cinderella's voice to the overhead channel whenever she talks to the mice, so that she'd sound taller than the viewers as well.

There are tons of exclusive videos just like this one here on my channel for you to watch & explore now!👌😉 As far as figuring out 4K disc sizes there are a couple ways the most accurate is simply checking the data numbers from on the disc itself to see if it’s a 66GB or 100GB disc, then every once in while the disc sometimes will have it printed in the inside ring of the disc but that’s not always very accurate! What’s your wishlist Disney animated film you really hope gets a 4K Restoration & 4K UltraHD📀 release by Disney Movie Club?❓

🤔So this 4K Restoration was being worked on well before he was ever hired back & had almost nothing to do with him! But with that being said hopefully we start to see some changes & more 4K restorations being released by Disney especially if this Cinderella 4K UHD📀 sells well enough through the Disney Movie Club I think we will start to see a lot more exclusive Disney titles like this being released! 🤔 I get what your saying, but I look at it this way: I might not like some things the company itself has been doing over the last several years but this is a classic Walt Disney film before all the stuff that’s been going on now, so I’m excited to support these classic Walt Disney films so that they keep releasing these classic GOOD Disney films & not all the modern junk they’ve been releasing lately! Great video as always James, I presume Disney did (as you talked a lot about the film grain) i just wanted to hear the words “4K scan from original camera negative” have they specified the details of the restoration? i’m concerned it’s an upscale, and not actual 4K. (perhaps a 2K restoration then 4K upscale? Just concerned as a lot of their “4K” titles are all upscales. (hopefully not including this one!) Also, thanks so much for pointing out their movie club subscription, I went ahead and looked at their website. It never states what resolution / format the movie is? Did you have this information visible when you’re a member ? For example, looking at the lion king: just a thumbnail image, date of release, but no info as to whether 4K, bluray or Dvd..? Really hoping that as a member you can see the resolution of the film you’re buying right? 😬 I’d be annoyed if a dvd came through my letterbox of the lion king for instance. or perhaps a live action older title - the black hole. (great old sci-fi flick which i’m sure you own and love) thanks so much for reading, and also thanks for amazing review of prince of Egypt, I did use your link to go ahead and order that the other week. 🙌🌟

👌Thanks, Glad you enjoy it! So your questions are long so I will try to piece meal it in separate replies to try and answer as much as I can! First one, Yes I explained in detail a few times inside this video that this Cinderella 4K UltraHD📀 is a NATIVE 4K (2160p) transfer & that this is NOT an upscale! Also the new 4K restoration was done from a scan of the original camera negatives with brand new color grading to purposefully fix all the issues & problems with the previous Blu ray releases of Cinderella as I was also covering! Also when I explain that it’s a Native 4K that specifically means it’s NOT a 2K upscale!

there’s an article by Polygon online which talks about the team who did this release, a triumph for all because for many years the fans have been begging them to show the original drawing lines, without dnr, so yeah this is a masterpiece. Thanks James! This is another great video from you. Cinderella is my all-time fave Disney film as it holds sentimental value. Any ideas or tips for how an Australian fan can get a hold of this? I must find a way as I cannot join DMC from my country. eBay prices are currently astronomical. Side note - any plans to review the new 4K of The Maltese Falcon? Yours is the only opinion I trust.

For now it's exclusive to DMC, though there are rumors that it will get one or more broader releases later in the year. DMC is not "buy 5 movies every month"; it's more like the old record clubs. If you take the initial "5 movies for $1" (or whatever) deal (I understand it's just DVD or regular Blu-ray, not 4K Blu-ray), you agree to buy X number of full-price movies (those can be 4K) in the next year or two; once you meet that you will become a "VIP" with better deals & no more required purchases. DMC will also post "Featured Selections" at least once a month that you have to decline or else they will charge your card for full price & ship it automatically; they generally give you 4 weeks to accept or decline each selection. (No penalty for declining as long as you comply with your agreement.)

I just don’t understand why they’re doing this with popular titles when this wasn’t a problem a few years ago, Mulan 4K was the last classic Disney movie I perched

As I explained in this video I wasn’t originally either but I joined the Disney Movie Club just to get this release & it was well worth it! It will cost you a lot less to just join the Disney Movie Club then to buy it at those jacked up horrible resellers scam & ripoff aftermarket prices lol!!!! 🤣😂

@@ricogomez4020 I don’t Know I never tried ordering a bunch of the same title. 🤷‍♂️ 🧐To be honest, there was plenty of other 4K UHD📀 Disney & Fox titles I was interested in getting that I had plenty of different 4K & Blu Ray titles to order through DMC! FYI: They also offer inside the DMC 20th Century Fox 4K UltraHD releases too! Hopefully this helps you out! But it’s definitely not as complicated as your making it seem though!
