I grew up going to Disneyland at least 4-5 times a year. We were able to get discounted tickets back when military rate meant something - $ 10 per person lol! I haven't been there since 1969 - so not a thing looked familiar of course! My how time has changed things! ( I did see DisneyWorld in 1971 on my honeymoon - would love to see that again too!) Hi Bill and Lisa! Taking an early break at work so I can watch this…lol! Lisa has a super fun job in the most magical place! Bill has a fun job where he gets to travel! So fun, travel and food…what more would one want? You both are so easy going sometimes I wonder if you ever have an occasion where one wants to travel to one destination and the other to another…but it always results in a good video! 😊 $395 is well worth it seems very comfortable and all the property amenities…where are the crowds? Lisa, I'm planning a trip to Disneyland for Christmas. I have so many questions. FYI it seems we travel to a lot of the same places. If I'm staying at the Adventure hotel will I have in and our privilege to the park on Christmas day?

Just send us an email (in the video description) and we’ll do our best to answer any questions you have. For this question, you’ll need to purchase your park ticket in advance AND make a park reservation for the day you wish to go. Another way is to purchase your ticket in-person at the park ticket booth and get a same day reservation. You will have in and out privileges for that day.

Yes, it's a great location! Stayed there Sunday-Friday, would've loved it to be at cast member rates, but no offerings via the portal! (ugh!) Like you, we usually eat off-site, but now that we've tried a couple of items, will be looking to "grind" more next time! Aloha!

I love Trader Sam's. It's a "must do" reservation for us every trip! But I've never made it during the music hours, will have to put that on the list. Those Dole Whips with rum are soooooo good.

I finally made it to Disneyland last week! Per your recommendation I tried the Jolly Holiday Combo (Grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup) and it was fantastic! And thinking of Bill and his favorite pastries I also tried their chocolate croissant - also very good. Thank you both for sharing your adventures!! Going the week before the official start of Disneyland Christmas was the perfect time to visit the park.

A co worker recommended Trader Sam’s a few weeks ago. My husband and I loved it. Has a great feel, the food is wonderful, and you can walk off the food by strolling through Downtown Disney. We’ll be going to Nola soon, can’t wait to get the voodoo drink. Lol

We haven’t stayed there in a few years now, and we’ve been wanting to book a stay there. $395/night is a super great deal for a room with a corner view of DTD. I can’t imagine paying $800 a night though, hoping they have more specials for mid-week! This is the best staycation, and must have been so fun for Lisa since she works there (bumping into colleagues and familiar views). ❤ The live music at the Tangaroa Terrace is the best.
