Love this! I actually started working at The Disney Store in 2013 and our store used a different blue long sleeve shirt instead of the blue and white gingham.

I kept mine because I thought I could use the fabric for a pillow or something... but alas it is stored safely in my garage with my other treasures! I will have to look- I might have another!

I love it! Ive never seen the denim before. I like that logo a lot. Still have my shipment shirt. My favorite costume is definitely the vest and scarf look. It’s my 7 year anniversary today!!!

I worked at TDS from 1990-1992 and I still have my letterman sweater which was from the first era of costumes.

I worked for the Disney Store in the early 90's and remember the blue, grey and pink cardigan with the pink undershirt and grey polyester pants. We also met our goal for presales of Aladdin VHS tapes and each got the gray wool with black leather sleeve varsity style jacket. I still have the jacket somewhere.

Dan, thank you for sharing! With all the closures, It's great to know that past cast still have all these great memories! I started in 2002, and I remember winning the presales for Lilo and Stitch! We won a record player- I wish it was a jacket.... I hope you find it and can share a photo!

The outlets always had a different costume than the Core stores. I worked for an outlet for most of my 7 years with the company. I had the purple short sleeve in a long and short sleeve when I started and I had the check short/long sleeve for my second uniform. For less than a year I had the tight gingham check shirt.

Thanks for sharing!! We also had the short/long sleeved, but that was for shipment only. In fact... I might have been the model in the pamphlet that was sent showing the Outlet and Core store costumes!!

One of my friends, who is in the picture you showed of the original costume, said that there was a costume before the letterman sweater. At one point, I think they wore shirts that they sold in store and then there was a basic look before the sweater w/pink and gray came in. I wore the sweater look in Glendale from 1990 - 1994!

That's a great question! I would like to think it is, based on the origin of its purchase- but Walt had friends that also helped with autographs... but I sure hope it is, as it brings me a lot of joy!

Oh- no, I mean as I haven't sent to a leading autograph person (for Walt it is Phil Sears), but it is an original autograph that is likely authentic, if that makes sense.

The blue gingham shirts are still worn by CMs today at the European Disney Stores. They never got the smart ones I first saw in New York City back in 2017.

@@Jeremy.Patrich Mine has to be the smart NA costumes from 2014. It reminds me of the welcoming CMs of the Times Square Disney Store when I first went to NYC back in 2017. In Europe, during the TCP times, they had a different red shirt, which reflected the fact the European Disney Stores were still under Disney ownership during that time, and they also originated the idea of favourite character on the nametags, which then made it across the Atlantic with the Imagination rebranding that reunited both sides of the Pond.

I saw photos, I love those too! I would love if there was a closer connection with all the stores globally. I love having a variety of costumes, especially for theming... but It would fun! I left the Stores during TCP, and transferred to the Studios in Burbank, California.

A friend of mine gave me her cast member cardigan with the pink and gray stripes from the early 90's years ago with a few pins still attached. Are they rare or hard to find, I never thought about it until watching your video.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share! Honestly, they are valuable, especially now they do many stores are gone. I have seen the cardigans sell for well over $100, and the pins for quite a bit too! I would love to know what pins were on it- wonder if it was the fun Dalmatian ones!
