Thank you for making this! I have always been so confused about where DSSH is actually located. The online releases have been hit or miss for me. Clicked the link the second it was posted for the UP 10th Anniversary pins and was 800th in line, but months before with the wedding pins I clicked through 10 minutes late and managed to pick up 2 LE pins.

So when we went this past April when I got one of the pin trader delights the lady asked if I wanted the milkshake as well, so they might be meant as a gift with purchase and I bought the milkshake cus I didn't feel good just taking the pin if it was meant to be part of that deal so I'm not too sure of they changed it or if it was a weird one off

I think they're so used to pin traders coming in just for the pins, and I think a lot of local pin traders who frequent ask for just the pin, no ice cream!

I've been watching a lot of these types of videos you've done and thought I remembered you talking about the waffled pattern on the back and how you can tell if it's a fake or not but I'm not seeing it now. Did I imagine that or can you tell if a DSF pin is fake by it's pattern on the back?

Emily, this was amazing! Thank you for putting this together. I'm still relatively new to pin collecting, so I really benefit from these videos. Also, I get the DSSH notifications way late on facebook too 🙄So annoying. I would have loved to get that Ursula pin from the surprise release, but I didn't see it until about an hour later.

Do fake DSSH pins have the same red flags as regular Disney pins, or is there something else to look for when spotting a fake DSSH pin (besides the seller having multiple available)?

That sounds so outrageous to have such limited edition pins if they know there is such a high demand for pins. To me it seems like it hurts Disney on sales and disappointing to fans.

I think the exclusivity is a big part of what makes the pins special. I also think they’d have a hard time selling out in person if they made edition sizes a lot higher

I have a questions about PTDs, if they sell out- but haven’t done a new flip yet- are you just out of luck? No pins? I’m visiting next year and really to go but don’t wanna waste my time if that’s gonna happen

Correct, there could be a day or so before they release the new set when no PTDs are available

Yeah, this is my concern also. I think my husband would be upset if we went all the way out to Hollywood and Highland just for that. Though you can catch the Metro Red Line train to get there it's a hassle when I could just go to Disney instead for the day. Parking would cost about as much.

You can call the store and they will let you know if there are any PTDs available - though I wouldn’t necessarily take time away from the Parks to go
